I have a 65 F100, sanded off 60% of the paint and rusted it with peroxide, vinegar, salt. It is amazing. Problem was always getting rust on your clothes etc. I was clueless on what to do till I watched your video. I did the Comet and scotch bright, just like you did, the coated it. It looks amazing! Hit the rust first. Wash ya scrubber out then hit paint 2nd. Otherwise you'll stain the white with rust. Or even better, hit the paint then move into the rust. Impregnate some paint particles into the rust as a blend.
If you have that much rust showing, there's no reason to believe with Comet, Bar Keepers or CLR, that you'll magically discover any paint beneath...if you see rust, it's because it is rust and there's no paint to be found...
Best way to clean patina is with grinding down to bare metal doing all the body work, sanding, filling, glazing, base coat x 3 clear, flow coat x3, 3 stage compounds with foam and wool pads with a even coat of quality ceramic coating life an effin boss. Patina is for vagayjays that are to effin lazy to keep their ride clean. Tha fux wrong with you son ?
