    Hello sir!!!!
    I would want to ask that the V-fold in the rocket popup in the book Robot( timeline around 17:00) is which type of V fold?

    • @thepop-upchannel4919
      @thepop-upchannel4919  3 роки тому

      It's an Acute Angle V-Fold a bit like the one shown in Tutorial 2 at 14.40. In the Robot rocket design the V-Fold is built at the bottom of the page pointing upwards.

    What is the best weight of paper to use for a complex design but is still strong enough? I am finding that the cover has a hard time closing the more elements I add to the page....Thanks!!

      The ideal card is rigid without being thick. In the tutorials I use 160gsm card which is good if you want to work without the need for scoring the creases. An ideal weight is 220gsm but to work with this you will need to measure and score the creases. Another consideration is the size of the pop-up - a big pop-up needs heavier card. Another possibility is to use different weights - the base, and the foundation shapes that do the lifting could be made of sturdier card while the additional pieces could be made of something lighter and thinner - even paper.

      I do have extra copies of quite a lot of books - I'd be happy to sell them but I suspect that posting them could be quite expensive. You could email me - my address is at the end of every tutorial. Alternatively both Amazon and ebay do sell pop-up books (both new and second hand).

    Sorry when a said “inch eye” I ment “ojimetro” that means an I very accurate, very exact very trained ; I made just a bad translation of an expression OJIMETRO. very very accurate sight, view, eye I wanted to translate it literaly, and beacause you work with inches different from centimetres. Well it was a miunderstanding very sorry.
