    Thank you so much for doing this video! This is the only video on UA-cam that I have been able to find on repairing this rifle . I have tried a couple times to repair mine without much success. Now I am back in business. Thank you again

      No problem man! Thanks for the kind words. I couldn't find any either and the forums give you enough information to stumble through it but it is definitely confusing! Lol That's why I made this video. I figured there are tons of these guns here in the states so somebody should do a video about it. Glad you found it useful 👍 Thanks for watching. I do appreciate it!

    Thank you for this.
    The most useful Seneca Aspen/Nova Freedom video on youtube and the only one showing some disassembly.
    I can only say that my Nova Freedom pump (it was oiled every time) broke after a few hundred shots.
    I was going to try to repair it, but given how complicated fixing the pump is I will sell it very cheaply instead.
    Seneca Aspen/Nova Freedom is a big POS.

      Thanks for the compliment. I appreciate it! Unfortunately, you are correct about these rifles. They are guaranteed to fail. After fixing mine for the third time, I gave up on it. It is too bad to because they are really accurate.

    the hollow end of butt stock can be used to store all type of things .im gonna put all tools needed to repair it in the field in a emergency .i think this is one of an awesome survival air rifle . put ammo ,silicone oil ,orings ,etc, in there also . i have had this nova freedom over 3 yrs ,no probs with pump because i use plenty silicone oil before and after a shooting session ,keep it filled with 1000 to 1500 psi of air at all times to keep stuff out , and once in a while ill pump to max and completely bleed it ,you should see the much that comes out of it ,it looks like residue from orings and silicone oil .i also pump it up after each 10 shots to avoid creating too much heat from pumping to empty back to my sweet spot of 3200 psi !!!!!!! . just recently ,i must have had a bad slug ,tried to push in with too much force and my handle to probe cocking / pushing arm bent than finally broke in 2 . i am thinking ,i will make a newer one out of something soon , something a little stronger than was in it . now on the subject of the orings ,i will do some research to see what type would be best for it ,apparently the ones from factory arent the best ,because this happens to a lot of people .i think the right oring and the use of pure 100% silicone oil would make this air rifle a lot better . i also use plumbers and electrical silicone grease all over the rifle also . any input on the pellet pusher/cocker arm i greatly appreciated !!!! thank you for your awesome info bro .

    So... First, great video. It helped me get everything apart by about 98%. However, the last bit where you simply screw the tube away from the center rod did not work on mine. I got stuck right where you say "yours may not come apart like that". No. mine does not. It looks like you need s specialized tool to reach just slightly inside that metal tube to grip what looks like a brass nut. Once I figure that out I'm hoping the rest will be as you say and I can just replace the single ring with two 0-006 o-rings. Any idea where I can get that specialized tool? If not I'll have to make or rig something, not sure on that yet.

    Great video. I would really like a copy of the assembly instructions (spec sheets). I will email you. I contacted American Tactical today and they told me that they don’t have anything at all for airguns any longer. Air Guns of Arizona told me that they no longer carry the gun or parts and to call American Tactical. My gun is the Seneca version (Aspen) and never was able to fill with a probe. Now it will barely fill with integrated hand pump as there is back pressure even on the upstroke. I actually broke the handle off today attempting to pump up pressure. Don’t know where to get a handle for it. Thanks for your help as I plan to take it apart.

      @@bigjsoutdoorsairguns9007 just found my 006 orings. Throw those HF vitons away! They will fail very quickly. I did that same thing and they ripped apart. Look up model SV75006 on the The O-ring Store LLC for 75 durometer square orings or Model V75006 for 75 durometer viton orings. I would give the urethane ones a try as urethane is the best for sliding on my 1322 flat top piston with -111 orings. Hope this helps. Also, if you find you are cutting orings send the gun back. Mine had a rough spot in the final stage tube that kept cutting/ rubbing the seal apart. There is nothing that can fix that. My replacement is lasting well on the original seal. I use Super Lube 100 cSt only. Every 40 shots I put a few drops in the hole with the lever all the way opened. I'm shooting cleaned and silicone oil lubed walmart CPHP 14.5gr 1/2" at times at 40 yds when the wind will cooperate. Also, get two 5mmx0.8mmx12mm Allen cone point set screws for the trigger job. Use loctite. You will be amazed at what the trigger really feels like after you do this. Use the old screw in the front to take all the take up out of the trigger. It is amazing 1/2" lb 2 stage or 1 stage trigger all day long.

    Yes I have a couple question ? When you were telling us about the tool that you use to do this. You mentioned the 3 mm for the air bleeder ( to relieve the air pressure ) But the other Allen wrenches. YOU NEVER TOLD US WHAT SIZE THEY WERE ?
    I am a BUSHCRAFTer / Prepper. I have one of these guns for small game hunting. I've been able to take a hog up-to about knee high. ( BIG GAME ) With a shot between the eyes when head is down or in the ear. With in about 30 yards.
    I'm looking at putting together a repair kit. For this gun. Keeping it all in the hollow park of the buttstock. So it something happened I can do a CAREFUL in field repairs to the air gun. With extra little clips o-rings lubricant everything need to fix it. Should something happen. I want to try to keep it light. So knowing the sizes of the Pacific wrench is needed will HELP.
    CARRYING JUST WHAT IT NEED !

      Disadvantage is, add a good scope and a little light, and the gun will weigh 10 pounds. I went to extremes and got one of mine down to 7.1 pounds tho, without a light.
      Pumping it every 5 or so shots is a regulator, but sends all the game into the next county.
      Mine shoots really flat to 40 -50 y, for 10 shots, starting at 3,000 psi.

    Hey Big j I came across your video while looking for a solution to the problem I have with my Nova freedom hp-m900, the rifle works great but I'm not able to charge it up using a foot pump and the filler probe, the hand pump works fine and I can charge it up that way, I was wondering if you had any idea what's keeping the foot pump from changing it.

    • @bigjsoutdoorsairguns9007
      @bigjsoutdoorsairguns9007  18 днів тому

      @hermanguzman1460 Hello 👋 Is it a high pressure foot pump? 🤔 I haven't seen one of those before. If so, I am not sure what would be causing that issue.

    • @hermanguzman1460
      @hermanguzman1460 18 днів тому

      @bigjsoutdoorsairguns9007 yes it's a high pressure foot pump and I've used it before to charge it up but now it just won't hold the air, I tested the pump and it holds the air without any leaks, when it's hooked up to the rifle you can hear the air coming out.

      Yes it is essentially the same gun. The only way I know about to get more power is to start opening the valve and transfer port, those types of things. I have heard that the poppet seat is made of a fairly soft material that doesn't take kindly to the power being wicked up. There are guys on GTA who talk about this and how to make a better one.

BIG J , im thinking of getting the .22 origin because of the upgraded piece in air tank that keeps the pressure at better `compression in the tank .plus it comes with an air pump also !!! just think my brother how awesome it would be if the reinforced fuel line makes a good seal oring type . keep up the grat work my friend , thank you for all you do for us !!! oh ,i want to turn you on to something i invented decades ago ,its my special devastator round , take a .22 pellet , put a .177 steel bb in the back of the pellet and barely add a very small drop of super glue on top , usually if you push the bb in ,it goes in tight . it will add 5 grains to the pellet making it a little heavier ,slower but more power when it hits . try this and see how it deforms when it hits the target !

      I agree 100% with you. And they sell them knowing they are guaranteed to fail. Pretty pathetic. I spoke with someone that works for a company that used to sell them and he said 7 out of 10 came back defective and that is why the quit selling them. It's to bad because they are very accurate and the concept is great.

      If your problem is the pump, the Aspen can be filled using a compressor or one of the available aftermarket hand pumps.
      Plus, any gun part can be made or fixed.
