I have this fan... yes buy it its a game changer (once I sold one to the guy next to me on the plane and I was not selling it...he wanted it that bad) but know that there are 2 versions the small battery that 2000mah and the big on that is 4500mah. They look the same and often are the exact same price on Amazon, but one lasts 19 hrs and the other lasts 48 hours. Unless side by side you wont notice the small size difference. I use it all the time. The one in the video looks like the larger version, still small enough to fit in a pocket.
Question about the epika converter… does this also work in Switzerland? From what I’ve been able to find online, switzerland uses a slightly different outlet than the rest of Europe (I think it’s a J type if I remember correctly off hand)… wondering if this works or if we should look at others!
A small thing you didn't review but it's pictured in your opening frames is the Venus travel razor. I've had mine for YEARS, it just lives in my travel toiletry bag. Regular Venus razor blades replace the head.
Just flew from Athens to Amsterdam to US while in Amsterdam I checked the Apple air tags showed the bags were still in Athens. Checked again when we landed in the US showed still in Athens. Walked by the luggage belt and pulled our bags. After about 5 minutes the app showed we had the bags.
I have AirTags in everything now (wallet, keys, backpack, suitcase). I had luggage come up really early at baggage claim after returning in an international flight. It had already been pulled from the baggage carousel and set in a sea of luggage. I got through passport control and waited forever for a bag that never showed. The airline tracking showed it as delivered. I started to freak out thinking it had been stolen but then remembered the AirTag. I was able to make it beep and find it setting with hundreds of other bags. Yay!!! I also have that fan, and liked it so much I bought it for friends and family. Living in Texas, it helps a lot during the summer as well as for travel.
Hey Nik and Allie. I have the owala, the epicka and the AirTags. Next I’m getting the Alaska bear mask. Your recommendations so far had not led me astray. Thanks for all your content. o/ Cheers from Brazil
Do you have any guides/reviews for checked luggage? I'm doing a 23 day trip in a few months, with 14 middle days of those being a Kilimanjaro hike and safari. I need to manage nice/normal clothes for city/resort/airport days with gear and dirty dusty sweaty clothes. I was thinking a 28" hardside my duffel inside and using my daypack as a carry-on?
Heading to India in March and I'm too afraid to check any luggage in. After looking around I settled on the Osprey Farpoint 55L. I detach the backpack and place it under the seat and the other goes in the top. Not what you asked for but just tossing my 2 cents. Safe travels.
This Osaka bottle is the truth! I thought I left it on a trip and nearly died! I found it before I pulled the trigger on a new one. Thanks for this tip a year or so ago 🙏
Ordered the EPICKA TA-105 Pro back in June after watching an Away Together video. Took it out of the box and tested it to make sure it was okay, but then didn't use it until October when I did my Kenya trip. It only lasted 2 days of a 14 day trip before all of the USB-A and USB-C ports failed. Unfortunately, it was the only adapter/charger I took for my MacBook Pro and other electronics. I did think to put a typical Anker USB-C iPhone charger in my bag so that saved me on keeping the iPhone charged, but had to beg charging time from others on the trip for the MBP and other devices. Was a bit of a back and forth email process with EPICKA when I got home sending videos and information, but in the end, they stepped up and provided a replacement. Lesson Learned! Use your EPICKA for a few weeks when you get it just to be safe. My replacement has been working fine for 2 weeks now.
UPDATE. The second TA-105 Pro just crapped out with the same issue. No white light at the bottom and all USB ports are dead. Tried changing the fuse and nothing. This adapter states on Amazon that it can charge 6 devices at once, but it can't even handle an iPhone and iPad at the same time. Cannot recommend anyone purchase this adapter.
Love the fan and it saved my bacon once in 110 degree heat. However the bagsmart compression cubes? STAY AWAY! I'm traveling with a brand new set right now and am appalled. They arrived with holes in them before I touched them. I broke a zipper closing one and burst another one. The 3 I have with me are falling apart at the zipper and 1 compression zipper is broken so the function I bought it for can't be used. Normally I like bagsmart but these were such horrendous quality that I will, be tossing them when I get home.
im puzzled. why wouldnt you choose the SuperBagel? is it just because of sponsors? its far superior in every way. why would you call a travel adapter thats the same as all the others the "holy grail" ? thanks !
The super donut/bagel are great! I like MOGICS products and personally own the donut. Not sponsored. Criteria for the video was 4.6 stars or greater though and these missed the cut.
@@awaytogether Thank you Nik, you are very kind. But I do need your advise right now. I have to buy a backpack about 40 litres capacity next week. Could you please tell me what would be your choise if you would be in my situation? Thank you!
@6:33 be careful with all in one travel adaptors they sag/lopside when you plug em... and 4 USB As and 1 USB C? come on now no-one uses USB As anymore...
This is actually the best travel accessory video uploaded to UA-cam ngl

I carry mine in my purse. So many people say they need one and ask where I got it.
I put it in my cart and then read your comment and noticed I had the wrong one! Thanks for the heads up!
@@DamienOnTheGo I'm so happy I saved you the hassle I went through.
@truenailson so, you have the 4500 mah? I’m about to order it
@@candymay75 Yep, it's awesome.

I would love to get your epika universal adapter but it is unavailable in Canada…why, who knows. Do you have a suggestion for the next best one?

I always take my Oswald BUT berated while airborne. It won’t leave but water will literally shoot out once you open so we open it during take off.
Any suggestions for body lotion?

Thank you for reminding me to get the fan. All menopausal women need these.😊
Do you have an Amazon storefront for all of your recommendations?
have you been to US or Taiwan that has a slim power socket and putting a travel adaptor will simply mean to block a button on the wall ?

Thanks for the honest, helpful reviews. I love that you share what you learn by experience.🙂❤️

Im not so sure about the open blades in the fan.
Its rubber blades
It also has an auto stop feature. If something hits the blades, they stop spinning for safety.
Dear Nik, very useful pieces of info again, and as always. Thank you. But I can't wait watching your long awaited "hands free" video!
Thanks for watching! It's coming soon! I've got a dozen backpacks stacked up in my office as we speak!
