RIP to the legendary Sid Vicious🔥
From his first ever shoot interview on March 1, 1998

Wow. I was just thinking about watching this when it first came out, I had 97 in my head. I remember ordering it from a tape trader in the Uk, I was 22 in 98. I’ve always wondered what happened to this shoot. Great to see some of it again. ❤
From the second Sid stepped through the WWF curtain to the ring for the very first time until the last, he looked and felt like a megastar. Rest in peace to the master and ruler of the world
100% - such an incredible look. Even sat there in 1998 he looks like he was carved out of wood. RIP Sid!
@@DH1985-MB especially in wwf in june 1991; Sid's debut vignettes. and standing next to BOTH top stars Hogan and Warrior - Sid looked exceptional; bigger then both of WWF's 2 top guys from 1989 - 1991. Sid was Brock Lesnar on steroids - well because Sid could talk, yell, look intimidating, etc. brock cant do that.
@@OikPoinFivelol he had some of the best botched promos. 😂
@OikPoinFive Well I mean, both him AND Brock were loaded up on steroids. However, Sid was not even near Lesnar's level.. nowhere near as good as Brock in the ring.
@@danieljoseph9439 I think you're right, he wasn't as athletically gifted as Brock at all. But for the era where Sid was in his prime, you couldn't have made him in a lab. He was so over!
Sid had shoulders that were massive and a look that would make you cower in fear. RIP big guy, one of a kind.
And still he said "Ultimate Warrior is CREEPY" :-D
2 cantaloupes. Lol
No synthol with Sid, he was truly a genetic freek
@@hatersarelosers8641yeah, ultimate rider was a one wierd 😂dude. Seriously odd individual
Rest in peace sid
That's Mr. Eudy to you! 😡
@edecanemane Delete this dumb angry react BS
Sid sounds like he would have been awesome to hang out with
One thing about it, Sid was a man. He was a man's man inside the ring and out.
RIP big Sid.
As a kid in the 80s Sid & Vader were the only 2 heels that legit scared me seeing them in person ... R.I.P big Fellas
WCW actually did a great job in 1993 with them both! "The Masters of the PowerBomb"! dream tag team. and Sting/Bulldog vs Sid/Vader was cool even the cheesy commercial/ad. I never pictured them turning on each other and having a first ever dream match at Starrcade of all place in 1993 and for the world title! i simply thought it was to lead to Flair vs Vader which was a dream match too. Never realized until later that Sid was gonna win the WCW title from Vader yet had the scissor_me_timbers altercation.
Doink… with that creepy ass music.
Don't forget King Kong Bundy too
Looks so young here! RIP legend!!!
Still in the mid 90s here
Only Cancer could defeat him. And it took it years n years.
Dang ..... the guy was articulate, intelligent, a great athlete, huge, pretty ... what a blessed life
What the hell does “dang” mean? This coming from an Englishman
Dammit light.@@garethwilby4033
@@garethwilby4033 its like a slang variation of the word damn.
@@herbythechef7624 so why not just say the word damn, dang sounds like something a cowboy in the old west would say lol
@@garethwilby4033 Dang, you is a grumpy one Festus. Speak not injurious words, neither in jest nor earnest; scoff at none although they give occasion
Always talked about as such a weird guy, but always comes across as a regular dude. One of the greatest looks ever.
Yeah i dont get it. Ive watched several of his shoots and he just seemed super normal to me.
@@DonMyers29497 sounds like a cliche, but maybe he was too "normal" for the business? You would think a massive ego since he was in demand by the big 2 for his entire career.
Knew the dude personally being from the same town and worked out at the same gym.. he was such a super nice dude.. talked for a few hours about wrestling one day while we worked out..
@user-ij8cp2ul5n that's cool. I had a brief career (don't look me up, super super brief) and I got to meet a lot of guys, but he wasn't one. Saw him live a few times, and was just always awed by his look. Was he approachable in the 🏋️♂️ lot of guys don't want their workouts interrupted
Teddy Hart is a lot weirder
Loved his stuff as Sycho Sid and Sid Vicious. RIP big man.
Sid was the beast. The monster. The psycho that wrestling needed. What an amazing guy. His wwf music. When that hit it was hairs standing straight up.
austin's king of the ring victory&sid's '96 run was a big reaaon i started watching again after stopped watching 4 years earlier
Loved his softball. When his leg was broken In the ring, that was brutal and I still do my like watching it to this day. R.I.P big man...
I always was impressed with Sid and would have loved to see him on top of the sport during his run in the WWF. This interview really humanized him to me. Seems like an honest and genuine guy.
When a beast like Sid said he was scared when the Warrior talked to him is almost funny.almost.Helwig must have been one intense dude for that response
I need to know everything about that interaction
To be fair, I think Jim Hellwig actually believed he was the Ultimate Warrior from Parts Unknown. I can imagine that scared quite a few people.
Jim was just intense
Balls to the wall
Intense, electrifying, charismatic, eccentric, unconventional, wondrous, unique, one of a kind.
@@geoffr5238bruh that’s funny cause Sid in early years used really turn into lord humongous when he put on the hockey mask he said lol.
Mr perfect
Vader
Razor Ramon
Sid Vicious
Great Muta
My top 5..only Muta is left. RIP fellas
instead of Perfect vs Narcissus (which i loved) at WM 9 i prefer Perfect vs Razor match up! Razor can still win here. just further the storyline along from Surv Series 1992. KOTR perfect finally beats Razor via a pinfall on ppv! we dont need another bret vs razor match at 1993s' KOTR tourney
@@OikPoinFivepersonally i thought face perfect was watered down and I really didn't like his luger feud or his turn at wm 10. But when he was on commentary and would bad mouth the baby face Ramon, I hoped for a feud there. Then we had one more chance in WCW and ughh never happened. Man what could have been
Wrestlemania 9 was the worst Wrestlemania ever
@@markhobbs8310 irrelevant. Besides 30 sucked too
Just as great as a face as he was as a heel. Always a fan favorite.
Too bad Rick Rude wasn't interviewed before his death. It's cool to see a shoot interview this far back.
Rude didn't do a lot of interviews outside of the ring, to my knowledge. Away from the ring he was a very private family man.
Dang i never thought of Sid Vicious(c) as champion vs Ravishing Ric Rude! on ppv. probably cause Sid was fired and i never thought of Sid's future rivals after beating Vader at Starrcade 1993! Vicious vs Van Vader, Vicious vs Rude - champion vs champion, Sid vs Flair. Wow i just remember that Rude was the WCW International champion - so Sid vs Rude could be a world champ vs world champ - in place of Sting vs Flair of 1994
RF Video did a ton of shoot interviews back in the day. They also sold videos of events you couldn't get through regular channels. I have a copy somewhere of the Japanese Deathmatch Tournament with Nick Foley and Terry Funk.
4:48-4:51... Sid laughs and quickly goes back to psycho look mode (his normal expression). Sid's promos he shot on Hogan in the early 1990's, holy crap man, Sid was beyond intense! He had that natural scowl look on his face that was intimidating.
😂😂 I noticed that too, very quick change from smiling to psychotic!
I was 11 and Sid was the first wrestler I saw live. I never forgot just how imposing he was and Ironically he was fighting Warrior that night. It was like seeing superheroes.
This is str8 VHS 📼 video right here
Sadly it's the best possible quality available. The original release of this looks like a black screen & no raw material exists anymore
@@TitleMatchWrestlingThanks for putting it out there again! You’re awesome.
@@TitleMatchWrestlingthese quality of videos are better than the modern ones. This has that more vintage gritty edge to it, it’s good to reminisce to 😊
That's all there was back then was VHS 📼 I'm happy with it ty

Sid was special talent. When i was a kid, he was only wrestler i was genuinely scared of😂
Vader for me.... thought he could have me on toast at any given moment in the late 80s
@@marvellis6762 Ya Vader looked awesome as well. I remember my friend said he seen a picture of Flair looking all crazy with blood in his hair and it scared him as a little kid. I still laugh about that 😂
Haha I know exactly what you mean there. Crimson Flair and Foley should of been in horror films
@@marvellis6762 lol "Crimson Flair"
ME TOO!!😂😅
Rest in peace, champion!
RIP SID ❤
it is great to hear about the business side of things I feel
R.I.P. Sid Vicious.
Sid was always smart. He was a bad ass and was a serious competitor for hogan. Probably the only person to give hogan a run for his money in his prime
Ahh Warrior
They should have kept Sid face and have him beat Hogan at Mania.
Thanks for the video, TITLE MATCH WRESTLING
Sid was one of my fave. Not many guys really scared me. Sid was scary. He was huge, he was always in great shape, and he just had such a good look, that makeup and capes and wands and glitter would of brought him lower.
He was freaking awesome. I never seen him in the ring with a guy that i thought looked like they could really beat him. When Sid lost a match it was a sober reminder that it was fake.... It was easy to see that he should never lose.
❤ Sid
Dame just sid sitting there talking he looks like a killer 🤣 he had a one in a million look
So do I
He was one of the meanest looking guys you would ever meet. And the size of a real life monster to boot. There's no way IN HELL I would have fought him. 😅😂😅.
Seriously. The intense stare of Austin, the physique of a taller Hogan, and a full head of hair.
Used to love watching him, think he would have been my favourite wrestler, but he disappeared and I didn't know why until now.
R.i.p sid
used to be scared shitless of phyco Sid lol watching this he's a nice guy. amazing Actors in wrestling 🤣
I;m not sure when interviews like this started, but seeing this from 1998 feels like this might have been one of the first ones.
As a kid, the first time I ever saw Sid Vicious as 1/2 of the Skyscrapers, I was a fan. I was a huge mark (once a mark, always a mark) and cheered good guys and despised bad guys, but Sid was the first heel to break that mold for me. He was a spectacle. I watched him wherever he went.
UW kicked out of everything even HHH Pedigree he wouldn't sell for no one and why he went out like his did
Well articulated by sid
This man was a beast, he deserved a more of a push
Sid Eudy lives on my mind as Brock Samson from the Venture Brothers. I can't help but think his look inspired the character.
No one should kick out of a Powerbomb. 😔
Unless you're Warrior or Hogan.
R.I.P. Psycho Sid. Being real in this interview.
When a wrestler is described as having ‘the look of a superstar’. SID is the benchmark. He looked the business.
the best look in the business imo
Fascinating. Never knew he did a shoot back then.
A legend a true legend and seems a smsrt and hinest man
RIP Sid🙏🏾
I wonder how Sid would have been if he got to be a booker
We actually got a Sid Justice vs Typhoon "re-match" from Survivor Series 1991 in wcw at WCW Wargames 1993 lol. with the roles reversed: Typhoon (ala Shockmaster) vs Sid 'Juice' Justice (aka Vicious). from 1 eight man tag match to another and on ppv lol.
yea I think he's a smart dude, he would have been great
it's amazing how much he accomplished for only having one lung wow
Are you kidding? Sid only had one lung? Can you expand on this?
Sid was too smart for the business.
Stayed after on a night when the ultimate warrior beat Andre the Giant in like 9 seconds to see the wrestlers leave. Sid was very nice to the fans. Kinder and more appreciative than any other wrestlers that left that night.
Sid was so scary. I feel intimidated just by watching this interview. He was definitely one of the very best. Imagine him and the likes of Kronik and Vader, Big Daddy-V, great Kali, Show, going against today's roster.
Sid got Harlem Heat into WCW.... Thanks Sid!!! Rest up sir💯💯💯
Sid deserved to be "the guy" at WWF and WCW during that Era. I'm not just saying that because he passed away either. He looked the part and played the part.
His power bomb was sloppy as fukk
@@skipthomas4524 WTF were you watching. it was the best more impactful-looking power bomb
The majority of the wrestling fans think he should have been bigger
why would you be mad he kicked out your finisher? its all acting at the endof the day
@MrJayflow2010 It's weird how badly an individual can misinterpret a comment on the internet. Nobody is talking about what you're going on about, yet you're going on about it. Your not too bright and everyone knows wrestling is predetermined. It's only new news to you apparently
I'm sure Vince offered Sid a certain amount of money with the promise to make a lot more later and then probably told him he can't pay him that big amount he promised. To kick out of a finisher is the worst thing to do for any character especially back then, but it's the normal thing we see in every match today. I could see why a lot of guys wanted out of WWF over the years, telling a performer how much they can make and actually paying them that much is two different things.
Rip sid u were the man
I remember first seeing him when I was a child and thinking he had to be the biggest man on the planet
I love Sid, he is one of my favorite wrestlers. However, as much as I love Sid, Ultimate Warrior is my favorite wrestler of all time! He is the Ultimate Warrior, of course he is going to kick out of the powerbomb! He is the Ultimate Warrior, that is part of what made his character so over the top and so great! R.I.P. Sid and Warrior! God Bless you!!
I started watching WWF during the summer of 1991 and I remember his debut. I was an awesome time, for me, to be a new viewer of the show. I was hooked up until 09.
I'm sure other performers say Sid didn't draw money. He drew my money! When that Arn Anderson incident took place in England, people were legit heartbroken to not see him. Double A is amazing, but his absence was not the reason for the sadness. They had paid to see Sid. That was so messed up.
1991 - Sid's first in ring appearance (Special Ref) is the SAME MATCH as Warrior's last match for the year
1992 - Warrior returns for a run-in during a Sid match (WM 8), They are set to feud, Sid quits just a few weeks later
1996 - Warrior gets fired/suspended, and is replaced in a 6 man tag match by... SID!
(We could ALMOST make the joke of "Has anyone seen these 2 in the same room at the same time? lol)
I wonder why Sid left in 92
This is how awesome Sid was. If Kane and Sid ever did a match against each other. You worried that even Kane could be overwelmed physically. When Kane was being called the Big Red machine for a reason that is how awesome Sid was.
Rest in Peace Sid
Rip ! 😢
Some pro wrestlers have to work their entire life to be a pro wrestler, Sid was just born to be one. With his size, look and charisma he just had it.
So did lex luger he had the body just natural he needed some mic skills
Lex a natural? Lmao!
The man who ruled the world
Sid was hilarious. Great entertainer and never got full respect.
Arn's got more balls than I do. If this man was pissed at me, I'd stay at a different hotel.
He did have the perfect physique for the ultimate wrestler. Because it wasn't like he was too overdone but the height combined with the way he was built was perfect and I don't think there was really any other wrestler that looked like that
Wish he never came to WWF in 91 imagine what could’ve been if he continued with WCW perhaps he might have saved the company from the decline in 92
Nothing could have saved WCW. When hulk, Kevin and Scott came in the money whores just killed the company.
Sid is who I'd imagine the type I'd meet if I ever went to prison.
I feel like that was kind of ultimate warriors gig.
But he was a great wrestler and I hated that it didn't work out. I've known people like McMahon who knows your unhappy, but he guilts you into staying longer.
Rip Sid Vicious
🤔🤔❤ Is that why he isn't in the hall of fame????
Superfxckin' Interview.
RIP SID
Guy had principles, I respect that. I remember when he came to the WWF as Sid Justice, holly crap he was so impressive and he was mega over. I wonder if him being turned heel when he was getting more cheers than Hogan was because Hogan was getting overshadowed? They should have kept him a face. He could have become the next Hogan for a long time.
Man, I idolized Sid when he was a Horseman. WWF did not curate his character the right way.
Imagine being a cop shorter than 6 foot and you had to arrest Sid by yourself with no backup. 😵
Vince did the same to almost everybody
Sid was so underused in his first WWF/WWE run..... ok Hogan was the Man for the Company... but i feel for Sid after Hogan left and you thought he would be given the bigger push... but to have the Warrior come back and be the Number One Guy...
They dropped the ball with Sid during that first Run... where they could have made him a MASSIVE Star.
Thankfully he got to the Top of that lader he deserved.
R.I.P Sid
Would love to see the match Sid vs warrior
Bruiser Brody has good competition in the Alf afterlife Wrestling Federation
Sid was very unlucky that he came into WWF/WWE during the golden years. They had so many names that deserved one of the main championship titles and never got it. Jake, Ted Dibiase, Big Bossman, the list could go on forever. They mishandled him, so many great matches could have happened. RIP Sid.
Yours is the wrong mentality, and one of the reasons wrestling is for the worse these days - the mindset that either you need a title to get over, or that everyone that gets over must have the title. It's such poor, over-simplistic thinking. In the 60's - early 90's the title didn't need to flip flop making its lineage impossible to follow or remember in order for there to be a large number of stars who were massively over. The wrestlers could be over in their own context and with other well crafted feuds that didn't need to always be over the title. It's sad that so many wrestling fans today just don't get it.
@@fuzzluvver69 I grew up watching wrestling in the late 80's. I'm not a Johnny come lately. My mindset isn't wrong, the fact is, back then you needed the title to make the big money. The only exception being The Million Dollar Man, because WWF paid for a lifestyle for him, and as a great heal he was fantastic. Some wrestlers were over, the fans loved them, face or heal, but the reality is that without a title they didn't make money. Nowadays, I'd agree the title doesn't need to change hands for a wrestler to be really over, and to have a great career. I would say though, look at how Cody Rhodes winning the title gets him so much appreciation with the fans.
Rip sid
In 1991 he’s wwf debut he made warrior and hogan look so small
They didn’t push him enough imho. I could be wrong . Solid character. 👍🏻
RIP
Only the Ultimate warrior Undertaker Hulk hogan Sting and Bill Goldberg only ones that could get up from the finishing move and the fans go crazy cant get mad at that they did that for us😅
I can see why Sid was his own man. He didn't really identify with any one organization. Many of the wrestlers talk about him in a sort of standoffish way. It seems like Sid never really got close to the rest of the "boys". He was there to work. Period. I think I remember Nash even throwing a backhanded comment about his softball career. In hindsight it makes sense. Sid was smart, not a typical wrestler, and despite his size and appearance he was not a typical "musclehead". He was aware of the business he was aware of his image she was aware of money in his opportunities. He was a family man deep down. Didn't know that. Respect him even MORE. R.I.P Big Man you were one of the greatest.
🙏🏽🕊🙏🏽
i would of liked to seen sid vs nailz and sid vs bret hart for the wwe title at wrestlemania 9 having sid as champion and having bret hart win the title for the first time
**losing
Prime Sid vs Prime Brock. those guys had the look
Hello
Sid always reminded me of a bigger version of the sandman from the movie death warrant. Warrior was cool, but I don't see him beating Sid in real life, much less kayfabe.
Did was so scary he was the perfect heel he was just too early he could have been a stone cold not good not bad
Please make a sid vicious dvd
So werid seeing shoot interviews before 2000, like the super werid one with Brody in like 86 im like wtf am i watching rn?
Every time i see Sid i also see Josh Bishop with my inner eye and vice versa. It's so strange how similar they both are.
The only problem with Sid is he didnt want to be a face. Im not saying that he should have been like Hogan; but theres that clip where he’s coming down the ring screaming “whose the man” and that fan was like “youre the man”, and Sid was pandering; he was DEMANDING! Sid could have been Stone Cold in another form. Not Sycho, but a Vicious man. One who would DESTROY everyone in his path with no regard to human safety!
