everyone realises this is absolutely nuts right?? Do you realise how many dj's are going to build sets of this? just had a play now and its just amazing. What NI should have done with the s8...oh well!
Great feature, I absolutely love mixing with the Djay app on my iPad. The only problem is stability.. I actually did a few live sets with my DDJ 400 and the iPad. In the 3 sets i did with the Djay pro app I’ve experienced total music blackouts.. So the music would just completely stop playing out of nowhere. I’ve tried everything to fix it (playing with downloaded music, different cables, wifi turned on/off etc.). I would really like to see Algoriddim work on the stability on the app so we could actually perform LIVE sets with it. I really wanna buy the DDJ 1000 so i can mix with 4 decks and this new feature on the app but I’m not gonna risk it when it isn’t stable enough. Great video anyway and great feature.
As Digital DJ Tips said get in touch with Algoriddim. They have a really good forum for troubleshooting and engage with their customers really well. As I'm not sure whether the DDJ 1000 is fully compatible with Algoriddim, it'll work for the most part but there are some features for both hardware and software that won't be available with this set up. I believe that someone has covered this on UA-cam.

This is amazing. I use different A.I. to get this done. Only issue is see is that you have a lot of digital debris everywhere and if you don't know how to hide them, well, on a big sound system will sound worse than youtube rips at 128kbps. Nonetheless, I love to have this much creativity without having to edit or download multitracks or acapellas and instrumentals. Cheers!
An exciting thing is that it is pretty easy to map this to your controller and it comes with loads of mappings too - lots of potential fun and as you say, a head turner.
Lol serato djs like to act like snobs about serato. Their ignorance is baseless since they don’t even try other dj softwares b4 talking that serato cult smack. Djay pro is badass, easy, limitless dj software you can gig on iPad or Mac delivering a great dj set and that’s all that matters.
Very very cool. And will definitely be giving this a spin this week. Been using djay Pro for the Mac for years, and based on that, it'll be quite a while before this translates to the desktop os. My only questions: What is the most "elegant" and easy way to hook your iPad to a dj controller, like the DDJ-SB3? algoriddim states it has video support. How would you be able to connect to dj controller, external monitor, AND still be able to power the iPad?
Yes it is the future of DJing! And it's not simple to do this right. It's not just EQ here. There could be all kinds of mastering tricks going on and each company could have their own formula. In fact, a hardware mixer could have this a built in.

I can feel an upgrade to my iPad coming on.... Maybe even a MacBook upgrade as well in readiness for whatever they bring out next on their Mac app. This is the type of feature that will get better and better as they develop the feature and chips improve more and more. The days of this software being a toy rather than legit software are long gone.
I'd hold off on the Mac update because rumour has it that Macs will be switching to the exact same chaips being used in iOS devices, which may be when this comes to Mac with that limitation (will need the new chips). @@digitaldjtips Fingers crossed this is something they'll announce at WWDC 2020 but I imagine the move to ARM will be further away than that, especially as they've only just refreshed the MBP 13".
@@digitaldjtips Definitely hold off until WWDC is over. Hopefully they'll announce a time map of the conversion. There's so much complexity when you hit the Pro use Macs and associated software. Pro's can't update on a whim. They could lose money. The previous two big changes (68000 to Power PC & then PPC to Intel's Core Duo) were not without serious issues. Saying all that... Apple may just totally surprise me and blast out a whole range quickly and keep both on sale for a while before fading Intel out.

Looks interesting, tried the spleeter solution online though I think most solutions that use AI can be a bit shaky. Not sure if its to do with additional processing they use on some vocals.
I guess it's actually a really difficult thing to do technically. What we have found on initially playing with it is that as long as you are mixing the elements with something that is "non processed" (ie a track on the other deck) it is fine, for live DJing at least - you wouldn't want to commit it to a recording, of course - but there is a big difference between spur-of-the-moment live DJing and studio work.
@@digitaldjtips I think studio wise there's an Izotope program that works well but it's over 400 quid and probably needs skill and experience to use properly. Solutions like djay pro look good enough for DJing and will probably get people thinking more about creating their own DJ edits so probably a good thing.
We haven't checked yet, they'll almost certainly all be listed over on Algoriddim's website. We only started playing with this about three hours ago! :D

Pretty amazing demo, Phil, but I can't see many people moving from established software - Serato, Traktor etc - for this one feature. Maybe the aforementioned companies will incorporate it in future???
It's a good point. djay has for many years been everyone's favourite "second" piece of DJ software, something they mess around on away form their #1. Maybe this will continue to be the case, with people doing mashups on iPads for fun - I know of a lot of big-name producers who fall into the category I just described.
Difference is that Stems required you to BUY Stems files, this just works with anything, right out of the box. Do you not think that makes a difference Michael? Especially with your second name! ;)

It is very hard to achieve what this software achieves, and the results are definitely not perfect.
It’s on VDJ too.... 64 bit version latest update Phil...
Yep pretty cool!
@@digitaldjtips I find the true Pro's aren't gear/software snobs. They use tools to accomplish... whatever tool works.
Is possible to map the DDJ1000?
Yes
@@digitaldjtips THX!!
Like Stems is just a novelty, will most care to use
Difference is that Stems required you to BUY Stems files, this just works with anything, right out of the box. Do you not think that makes a difference Michael? Especially with your second name! ;)
I was very excited in Stems but the concept wore off on me fast, I wouldn't care to hear the sound quality of this technique
@@michaelmashup452 No, the sound quality is not 100%, that's true.
Virtual dj 2021 out now
Yep, that was quick!
What a shame they removed Spotify Live access ... Anyway ! Super cool ! Ive been waiting for ever for this ...;
Agreed, it's Spotify that have removed it not Algoriddim though I'm sure they would have loved to have kept it
@@digitaldjtips Year i know bro, i didn't formulated my sentence properly :p ... Maybe they will change their mind after they lock PODCAST / Radio world domination (Talking about Sporify) ;) Peace and Thanks Digital Dj Tips for all those good tips and more :) Vlad
#spotify
Hopefully, it's a massive shame to lose them!
Digital DJ Tips that would be magical to have them back especially after this new fantastic AI upgrade .. 🙏🏽🍀
When is the Android release?
There is no date for that
WOW
Awesome isn't it?!
Yeah i have Virtual DJ so Ill be trying their version this weekend
Nice one!
Those noise reduction artifacts are pretty extreme, but I guess peeps are accustomed to streaming audio, so maybe they wouldn't notice.
Yeah must less noticeable in a mix with another track going, plus you can get away with a lot live - recording is a different matter
@@digitaldjtips I think I'd actually be less likely to use it live, unless I spent a bit of time beforehand ensuring that it would separate certain tracks how I expected. Thanks for the video!
For sure, nothing wrong with pre-trialing more complex mixes
