any video on Dubai life as a family would be great! we’re moving there in 9 weeks and don’t know anyone with a family who lives there so don’t have a family POV
Thank you so much for this helpful video! Really enjoyed watching this 😊 We are a young family considering moving from London to the UAE. I would love to hear your thoughts on the pros and cons as well as Dubai vs Abu Dhabi xxx
So glad it could help! I’ve never lived in Abu Dhabi but for us we prefer dubai, I think Abu Dhabi is a lot more chill and we come from London so we like options dubai gives us but people like Abu Dhabi too! Xx
I think adding to the video I suggested like the pros and cons and what made you all move would be so helpful for some of us really trying to consider. Then the understanding of if it’s mostly couples or singles that are expats in Dubai would be helpful. And is there really just 1 British expat area or a few and if so, why did you choose the one you live in? Do you ever come across Americans or Irish? Thanks! You’re life and the idea of living in Dubai I think is very intriguing to many but then those of us if offered a job it feels like a very big move and so any and all info would be so helpful thanks!
You guys are adorable! Big fan, new here. Yes, Joey America is insane. My niece was in nicu with amazing insurance coverage (dad worked for the family who owns the biggest insurance company so their insurance plan was top notch) and the take home (so the parents having to pay after insurance) for nicu was estimated to be over 1 million dollars. Clearly, they don’t make that kind of money. It’s absolutely insane here. I have been sick and it bankrupts people just having any chronic illness. It’s absolutely outrageous! But yes, the insurance companies make a deal with hospitals but they still pay out that much money to them as well. So I forget what they paid when the parents were needing to pay 1 million +. Sadly, my niece went to heaven so I don’t know the details but that is what our family was told to be prepared for should she have lived and made it through. Absolutely bonkers!!! Okay, so clearly I’m American. Where you live in Dubai what is it called? Can you do a video for new followers to learn more about it? And the pros and cons. It sounds like you have a very British area. Is there an American area? I would love to live in the British area but I understand if people wouldn’t want Americans haha. That said really would love to learn more about it and the culture. Then also, what is normal in Dubai like in America certain areas by the time you’re 20 or 25 or 30 you’re married with kids and other areas it’s like ppl wait until 35 bc careers and things come first. How is it in Dubai? Do you see in the areas you live that it’s a lot of family or singles? Does Dubai have a friendly single lifestyle or not? Do you guys plan to remain in Dubai? If so, for how long? You also mention numerous kids. Do you guys have a plan for how many you’d like or since you have one absolutely beautiful smiley perfect angel are you all set (NO need to answer all these personal invasive questions. Sorry just trying to throw some content ideas for another video or some reels to you as you ended video with send some questions) I think it would be incredible to see a full tour of like your Dubai neighborhood and get a true feel for who lives there (it sounds like mostly British expats? Are there Irish expats in Dubai or not so much? I have a dear Irish friend who I think would be Joey’s best friend haha so I’m curious what that is like over there) but just really intrigued by 2 awesome British expats in Dubai so maybe a video all about that and how things work over there vs where you’re from (did you guys grow up in same area?! How’d you meet and if still in Britain where would you be living now?) then see like the area in Dubai, your house, and really get a feel for life in Dubai. As well as the newbies here learning more about the two of you and your story. I absolutely love your content with your son bc is he not just the cutest most smiley baby!? But what brought you to Dubai? Will you stay? And also seeing you two together I can see why so many people love following you. It’s like watching two really real and honest loving fun people joke around but share. It’s great! I wish you 3 nothing but the greatest things in 2025 and beyond! Thanks for sharing! Can’t wait to watch more!
@@KellyMJones hey lovely so glad your here! Welcome! American health care is inane!! But we love American people so your all good haha! One of my best friends I made in dubai is American and ended up being one of my bridesmaids haha! I would say Americans and Brits are often together living in the same communities not separate. Popular ones are dubai hills, Jumeriah golf estates, Arabian ranches, meadows. Me and Joey moved here together we met at university in England! I will note the questions for future! Thanks so much for being here! Got some more videos coming about dubai life as a family so hopefully you will enjoy that! Sending love xxx
