it's not easy taking a piano out on the road as you can imagine. Of course we'd like pianos everywhere we go.. but they just aren't always available.. We do get them alot of the time in theatres as they are provided.
Hi... there is a long and short answer to this.. I had Steinway sponsor a few shows and I played a $500,000 grand... and many venues have pianos I get to play.. but many do not... believe me I'd rather use a grand every show... but it's all about the budget.. if there is enough $ then I'll get one brought in... but many just don't have the budget and our fee would have to factor in transporting a real piano.
We played the Elton John fan convention a few years back in Las Vegas and met the band ( (all except Elton who wasn't there).. Hung out with Davey and Nigel.. talked for awhile.. what great guys... Yes the band knows all about us. I've heard from other fans who have spoken to Davey that they've seen our videos too... Davey called us the best Elton John tribute in the world. .. That was very kind of him.. and Nigel when introduced to me by Davey said "Elton has a twin" .. They were great guys.
