@@burnout_MEDIA no actually I had room to play with by just adjusting the chain tension looser. I believe it was a 14 tooth gear ⚙️ my Quad at the time had maybe 10 tanks of fuel ⛽️ ran through it so chain was still good also.
That's funny. I did the same thing to my 1996. Bought it brand new and still have it! I think I remember grinding down the case saver that goes around the sprocket for clearance.
The #1 main upgrade everyone does to these quads is a performance CDI that ups rev limit 1000 rpm, they have an absurdly low rev limit. So if u had an extra 1000rpm it woulda gone basically what a stock CDI quad woulda gone if it had the original 22" tall rear tires, which is 54mph(88km\hr)
my adly 300 (same bike different look) with stock cdi but crd pipe 30mm (but that goes between the engine and the frame) and ixil exhaust does 95kmh max with 13 or 14 tooth front sprocket same speed just lower rpms and 20/11/9 tyres, stock it had 21" and 24mm stock pipe (that goes around the frame) and did the same speed but less response to the throttle. but the wierd thing is i have a other one that has those 21/10/8 tyres kenda klaw and stock pipe i just put a akrapovic china on it that thing does 100kmh gps.. while mine never did 100... it just wont... i guess every engine is different i think mine might need a new piston... cause my oncle had one that had a stock lenght pipe but the factory racing one that is 28mm i think and his did 110kmh...
had a 95 ex brand new, rev limiter modified,jets,filter Nd a supertrap pipe and it went 65 easy.had a pal buy a new 2000 or so and gapped his ass two bike links , he was pissed and took it back to the honda shop complaining. i had hole shots on the rear and stock on the front. had it till 2015 and had busted front plastics and still got 1100 for it..3500 when it was baught new.i drowned that motor several times and dumped that oil and change the plug and kept it movin...dont know if honda still makes them like back then but that motor was bullet proof. other bikes like banshee warrior could beat me in wide open spaces but in tight trail riding I was dead on them. they could not get away .very fun lil sport bike.
Tell you why the front tires NEEDS to be taller than the rear. When you are riding in the woods and you are always running across trees down or rocks. It allows to climb and use skids to get over logs
@@burnout_MEDIA and tbr when I was 16 racing it I didn't know it was that fast til I raced a mustang on our road before it was paved but hell mods turbo and dyno soon..but jumping in a semi finna slow it down but my own page coming to prove it
@@jaybourbon8608 I like 22 inch tires it’s all I ever knew really in these and they tackle rocks good. If you went up to a 22 deff go back to a 13t sprocket unless you have extensive engine work otherwise it’ll be a dog getting up to speed

am confused why the honda trx300ex has stock 13 38 sprocket setup while in france/europe we have ADLY 300 (same frame and engine) that has 13/32 sprocket with 21/11/8 tyres so they higher... it does the same about 90-95kmh but the stock honda has 20/10/9 inch tyres right?

You were saying how you didn’t like the only electric start becuase your battery could die, well in case you didn’t know there is a trick to bump start a four wheeler which doesn’t require a battery
@@burnout_MEDIA You either have someone push you or go down the hill because you need speed and make sure that your key is on and you are in gear I believe you have to be in first gear,you almost like jump on your four wheeler and give it some gas and it should start up. If this didn’t help you can find some videos online about it.
I bought a 1993 brand new. It had 22” rear tires and mine did 55mph stock and I put in a 1 tooth bigger front sprocket and did 60mph.

CDI upgrade, maybe car jetting/adjustment, and 22s in back should break 55 or more. Still very respectable for playing around on trails
52mph on a quad is amazing fast, specially for a 300.

Where do you get a CDI? Mine is topping out at like 35

65 is all that a 400ex will do I had a 200x that hit 56 a 250x that hit 52 a 300ex that hit 57 and 400ex at 65 also a 350 x that hit 64

My 2002 Yellow and black model 300ex hit at bout 60Mph i never put anything on it don't know why this one running at 52.. 🤷🏻♂️

My 04 would only run 57 with power core 4 full exhaust kn filter. Stock tires. Z400 would only run 68
