To a Californian Los Angeleno, Fort Meade, Maryland seems like the opposite side of the world to me. I know that autumn and early winter are lovely and wonderful. You get to enjoy a real, winter wonderland for the holiday season. But I've learned that summer is hot and humid, very uncomfortable. Better have a strong home air conditioner. The video host says that public transportation is marginal. But for a Los Angeleno, I shrug that off. Long ago when I was in the Army, I once thought I was going to be stationed in Baltimore, Maryland. I looked forward to it. Then I discovered that my MOS school was in Huntsville, Alabama. Rats, I thought. Yet, Huntsville turned out to be a good place so it wasn't a total loss. Still, I think I would have enjoyed a two or three year posting at Fort Meade just to experience Maryland and the four seasons. I especially love autumn and early winter, the last three months of the year, the festive holiday season.
Me and my husband are watching from 29 Palms CA, getting ready to restation! Thank you!
awesome! Excited to have you in Maryland! If I can help in any way, please feel free to reach out :)
I’m in the Army and I am heavily debating about choosing Meade as a top 5 candidate to pcsing after AIT. Your information was very helpful, thank you.
Glad to hear that! Thanks for watching!

Thanks so much for sharing and watching!!
Dreaded coming to Ft Meade, hated almost every minute of it. Mercifully, the nature of my assignment meant I had to leave at the three-year mark.
Great information 👍🏼
