This guy is spot on! I’ve been in Maryland for close to 40 years and lived in AA county (on base) and know Laurel and AA county and Howard VERY well. I’ve lived in all three counties. Dude knows the areas and some of them he gave a soft nudge to be careful of…those areas are legit not good so listen when he tells you those may not be “the best areas” they are actually the worst. Good job!
@@Skyless590 It’s been a longtime. We moved off base in 1990 and the last time I was on base would have been around 2007. I can try to answer something it really has been a long time.
Downtown Columbia comes to mind, especially near the Merriweather district (it would be about 25 minutes to Fort Meade). And I would think Annapolis area would have some spots like that too. Thanks for watching!
I apologize. The rental market is not something I'm super familiar with. I think people are doing airbnb for that kind of time frame but I heard it can get a little pricy. Thanks for watching!
mid 600s would be average I'd say. Here is what is currently available. Good amount of new construction as well if that is something you would consider matrix.brightmls.com/Matrix/Public/Portal.aspx?ID=DE-308153490766&eml=am9zaEBtYXJ5bGFuZGhvbWVzLmluZm8=
Few areas I'd look into are Columbia, Severna Park, Odenton and Crofton. Let me know if you'd like to talk and go over any details. Thanks for watching!
can you tell me what spots would be good for using public transportation to ft meade (besides odenton/crofton area)? i was hoping to do columbia but the public transit option sucks. i just need a small apartment :(
I think Columbia has a soccer league and a soccer club. Baltimore has a very active Volo young adults sports program which is really fun. In columbia, near the mall is a lot of newer housing, shopping and bars/restaurants
What area would you recommend for someone single? I'm not that into the nightlife but do want to be close area with decent amount of restaurants and places to meet people.
I'd recommend looking into Columbia. Very centrally located with good mix of suburban and metro vibes. definitely will have opportunity to meet other people and has lots of restaurants, etc

Do you have recommendations for renting, will only be there for 6 months to reclass.
