It’s great that you tried virtual production :) happy to see that more and more people are talking about it. I would love to see the finished edited fight scene because from the shots you added to this video the lack of camera tracking seems very visible. However it may look different if the shots are really dynamic. I would recommend trying VP with a tracking system next time it adds a whole other layer of realism to it. Tracking solutions are really better than you give them credit as they are fast enough to handle even quickly paced movement. I’ve shot a Samurai style action short just to try out the tracking solution at a studio that I work with and it was really good. Anyway I hope you get more chances to shoot stuff on LED walls as it’s a lot of fun 🙂
The whole Volume approach to me is a thing of awe and wonder... And a bit of caution. As I've seen so many flat, dead, lifeless shoots that used the Volume as an excuse to be lazy. But I've also seen so many fantastic uses as well. It won't replace greenscreens, I mean, there's even cases where they map the camera to the screen and the engine fills the camera view with green or blue, while using the area outside the view for real time lighting and reflections. And sometimes, location is better. No matter what Hitchcock said. Also. Those lazy filmmakers probably wouldn't do much better on location either. :)
That's neat even without camera mapping. Also would love to see finished scene. Also, randomly the very next video I watched on UA-cam after this one is another UA-camr that has very familiar sounding music in his intro. 😀ua-cam.com/video/xlPkpRn5Dj4/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
Hi Rubidium! I was thinking of you today. I was hoping you'd answer a question. Since the Canon C200 is now obsolete, what would you recommend instead? I was thinking of the FX6. I'm narrowing it down to R5C, A7S III and FX6. Thoughts?
Yes but this led screen video content was showing couple of fakeness in it that one can notice abit easily. There is less of movements but anyway, good then
I think he’s probably aware of rear projection, don’t you? Also, virtual production is another aspect of LED volume filming and that certainly isn’t the past. What even was the point of your comment?

I want to see the post and final work! Do they use that in UNREAL Engine? I didn't know they had places like this in the east.

@studiolab are really great people. Wish I knew you were going there!
Wow! Impressive! What is this bungee stabilizer?
This not the future. This is the past. It's called rear projection in cinema.
