Financing varies widely and depends on the specific project and its financial structure. There's no fixed percentage or amount that universally applies. It's determined through negotiations and agreements between the stakeholders involved in each project.
Hey Tom this was really helpful. It answered a lot of questions and raised a few others and one of those questions was: For crowd funded productions, should I put everyone who donated to like a Patreon onto a shared card and also, would Patreon members who donated get a credit?
A line producer is a key role in film production responsible for managing the budget, scheduling, and day-to-day operations of a film shoot. They ensure the production stays within budget and on schedule, coordinating various departments and resources. Let me know if you have any more questions!"
I think this video went off track in all directions talking about different levels of producers. I thought the video was going to tell us what the "Producer" (There is only one producer) and not a list of co-produceers, executive producers, etc. After watching this video, I have no idea what the producer does on a movie, all I gleaned from this was confusion as to what the actual Producer does on the film set; So I guess I will have to look elsewhere.
Oh wow. So even though the executive producer has all the money they’re a smaller part? I would assume since they’re funding the movie they can be the asshole type and say shit like “more explosions!” Or “it needs to have this (stupid thing)”
VERY VALUABLE INFORMATION
Thank you!
What is a producer that does logistics on a production ?
Thanks for getting back to me.
You bet
Any answers to how much $ or what % of budget gets EP credits single card credits and other levels of financing?

Yes, most likely would be in the credit roll at the end of the film. Almost like a "Special Thanks"
Valuable!

Sorry you found it confusing! It's an overview of the different types of movie producers and what they do.
I always thought executive producers were the top dog and all other producers report to him/her.
In some situations, yes. But not always.
