Thanks SO much for explaining everything to the best of your ability to the rest of the ‘noobs’ out here (myself included) who aren’t medically trained, yet we’re interested or researching! I’ve had awful eczema since just after I was born. I never realized there were terms for the textures even AFTER damage has been done. I tend to have a lot of the Hyperkeratosis & very old Lichenification, scales, crusts if I have scratched the area. Etc. it’s a mess. 😅

I’m needing to make an appointment with a dermatologist, I’ve been battling skin cancers for 45 years, starting with malignant Melanoma at age 33, but now I have a place on my forehead unlike anything I’ve ever had, when it first became noticeable it looked like a pimple but it never went away, I’d say I’ve had it three or four months, but now it’s changed somewhat, as there is a raised area on one side of it that’s almost a half inch wide and around an inch in length heading towards the top of my head. When I put my finger on that part it just feels very soft but not filled with an fluid. However if I touch the pimple part of it it’s really very painful. I just dread going in to see the Doc.
