The scalpers do suck really bad, they are a huge part of why I don't hunt as much as I used to. For example that supra that you cannot find should be hanging on the pegs and you should be able to walk into a store and find one. I haven't found the new set of red editions yet but the jagoffs at the flea markets want $25 a set, absolutely absurd they are only a dollar car and we can not find them. I am trying not to let them ruin my enjoyment of collecting, But the more and more I think about it, it just makes me madder than fish grease. Keep on collecting my friend And damn the face reveal scared that shit out of me, just kidding my friend it is nice to have a face to put with the voice.
Dude I'm 100% getting scalper denial vibes from you... You literally took every single Super T you could find and admitted you'd sell a 94 cent Super T for $55 which is more than the 50x mark up you said scalpers would sell them at, you also had more than 2 of many cars including the Jdm cars you mentioned scalpers taking...🤦
We are all guilty of taking more than what we need or want sometimes but, the important thing is to learn from it and stop it while thinking about what it might be like to be on the receiving end so, that we will have compassion for others and not want to rob them of equal opportunities. Sometimes we have to learn this the hard way when we refuse to be considerate of others and when we refuse to discipline ourselves. As far as selling something that you're no longer into or something collectable that you've had in storage for years and tried to keep it in good condition, you DO deserve to be able to sell it for a reasonable, collectable value but, hoarding and reselling at outrageous prices right after making a purchase is just wrong and eventually it WILL destroy the market if more people don't wake up and realize how counter productive this is. Another thing we fans and collectors need to put into practice is to stop blabbing online about what stores to go to get this, that and other. Because of this, I have found out about more stores inside of a week that before that I either didn't know that those stores sold toys or where the best deals were. I'm grateful to know how to save more money here and there but, guys, the hoarders and scalpers are watching and listening too! We have to come up with a new way to inform each other without the greedy people knowing about it!
@user-sy3nd8yz9j 100% Agree!! Greed and selfishness is ugly hey...😮💨 Buying them and storing them away for the future to eventually sell at a profit is 100% why I got into it in the first place and it can be a really fun thing to do but way too often I come across greedy inconsiderate people that will take 1 car out of 10 sets of 5 cars so that no one can buy a full set, they do it knowing it's the one car in the set that's worth something to the honest people that missed out and they will eventually pay a marked up price for it to complete their set..🤬 These are the people we need to avoid giving our money to so that it doesn't continue to happen but how do you know when someone has 1 or 10 for sale?...🤷
@@markkeast6786, maybe we need to stop trying complete the "collect them all" sets and come up with a private version of that that we setup in thought but, don't say anything to anyone about it until we have moved on to another privately thought up set and just do that for a while. In our minds we can think up our own collecting challenges and set goals to achieve to make it more fun and interesting. Maybe (for example) make it about a certain kind of theme or your own, private, fictional story or scenario. Keep the info to yourself until the challenge is over then, wait until the next self challenge begins or sometime later to talk about the first challenge and keep going from there to make it even more and more imaginable. Scalpers are not only in this hobby, they're everywhere, no matter where you look. As a Hot Wheels collector I just learn to stay away from these kind of people.
I was lookin for a matchbox lancer evo 4 and i found it only for some scalper to get his hands on it then he had the nerve to offer me marvel hotwheels that nobody wants and started opening boxes he got kicked out of the store though
Scalpers never let kids get supers for their collection. My brother has a lot of regular hot wheels and has like idk 10 or 9. These scalpers don't care about kids collecting them. They want the money on ebay. One time at Target, my dad went walking to the hot wheels in the morning and this scalper ran in front of him and my dad went OMG REALLY!? Today, my dad was at shoprite food shopping and saw a dump in of hot wheels and my dad was going threw and this goofy scalper says "I found the super a other day and he says I work here and I put them on the shelf" and my dad says "Thanks a lot!". The scalper walks away after that. I am a Funko Pop collector and barely see chases nowhere but at collectible stores LOL. I don't even care for Funko Pop chases unless it was my favorite characters. Me and my brother have different hobbies. So now let's say this.... SCALPERS ARE AS#####s.
As annoying as it is to look for cool cars and not find any, in the end it’s a supply < demand issue. The fact that it’s profitable to buy them at retail and resell on eBay means that Mattel just isn’t manufacturing enough. These are toys and it is not the moral equivalent of selling bottled water to people left homeless after hurricanes. Sometimes I buy the multipacks to find the cars I’ve missd, and leave the fantasy stuff in the store parking lots for the little kids to find.

If it works out well, I will have a new hobby that may someday lead to helping out a little with the finances and if not then, I may release some info on how others can make their own, similar toys on a budget. You can't just walk into a store and hoard scratch built toys for scalping so, maybe that's something worth looking into for genuine collectors is to make our own stuff.
And you see them at the flea market for $4 to $5 each and those are just the not so popular licensed cars. Civics, Supra, GTR, 510 and some other more sought out cars go as high as $10 a car. What sux even more is the pallet raiding issues and the asking workers to check the back for Hot wheels boxes.
Its funny. I work inside a Target store a couple days a week. I usually monitor when a main case comes in and so I offer to stock them. I swear, the diecast hobby is a joke. No matter where you go, there's nothing but a bunch of freaking cry babies. If someone beats you to the cars, then its really none of your business what they do with them. THEY PAID FOR THEM. If someone wants to sell 30 of the same car...that's their business. If they wanna just hoard 30 of the same car, in a plastic storage container somewhere...that's their business. WHO REALLY CARES? To all the people out there having a hard time finding the good stuff, you just need to stop slacking and get better at hunting! Start leaving your number, and get connections in the stores...make friends with other collectors in the hobby...etc, etc. Making stupid social media, and youtube videos about scalpers isnt productive.
I think it’s time for people who love the hobby to boycott scalpers and not buy anything from scalpers. Let them eat there investments. Pathetic.

Beanie babies 2023
Oh no, another cringy kid. Go back to bed little baby
That's what I need to know is what I've got worth. I've got a pretty big collection.
Stop the scalping
