M1R1 is approximately 50 miles East of Saint Simons Island with depths around 120 feet. Coastal Georgia has very little live bottom so this navy towers acts as artificial structure and brings in a wide variety of gamefish. Red Snapper, African Pompano, Grouper, Sheepshead and more can be caught here. Also makes an excellent diving spot although I have seen larger sharks patrolling the perimeter of the structure.
