It’s funny, when you watch someone every day, their face becomes a familiar and friendly comfort in a similar way to RL friends. But it’s also similarly horrible watching them suffer. There’s so much love for you through this channel man, and you’ve earned every bit of it. Thoughts with you to get well soon.
Great puzzle! It's so interesting when there's a queen on the board that has so many moves but none of them are good. Still keeping you in my thoughts and prayers and wishing you a speedy recovery
I love it when a chess game becomes a game of Nim, and you need to make just the right move to put your opponent in Zugzwang. That's creative. Wishing you a speedy recovery, dude. Take care.
Whatever helps you get better, use it. What we can do for you is to send you as much power and support as we can. And we do so. You are doing a great job for us. This is the moment to return some of it to get you over this health issue as fast as possible. Full respect and all the best to you Nelson from Hungary
Glad to hear you are doing better, I did have a question, I still don't really understand why you can't play f4. I know you're trying to put black in Zugzwang but then why can't you follow up with f5 after that which would also attack the queen? Edit: looking at it more I realized why you can't play f5 because after queen to h5, moving knight to e6 won't win the queen since the pawn is in the way. Left the post up in case someone else didn't see it and I still wanted to say that I'm glad youre doing better Nelson and I hope you have a speedy recovery
We are all with you, sir. God bless and take care. And don't worry about making videos if you are physically unable to do so. Your health comes first. That said, when you do get better, i hope you will be able to continue the story of Bobby Fischerman and his two pals!
For a chess expoert such as yourself, who considers what *might* happen literally hundreds of times per game, the thought of a bood clot would be extremely anxiety provoking. I am glad you are getting the right treatment and that with each day the risk of something major happening to you keeps falling. Stay strong, you seem like a good man.
King c7 was difficult to find but still ok, but h4 Zugzwang puzzles are in my opinion one of the hardest because even very difficult tactics make you just understand the synergy between a few pieces. These position needs you to have full understanding of what’s going on while deep in the calculation. Like you really have to understand the synergy of all the pieces on the board equally. the timing, the possible responses, traps and tricks etc and that’s just very very difficult
good vids. you and chess epic are my fav chess youtubers. Im very glad hear good news, cos they were very rare in my family lately, so im happy I can be glad for you.
At the end, you mentioned you should not push the pawn 2 squares because there's nothing else to do. But what if you push that pawn another square? Seems like a good move to me.
Because queen to h5 makes the queen safe, even if you move the knight to check the king, since the pawn on f5 is in the way of the would-be rook attack.
@@megauser8512 Ah, I see it now. The pawn would block the square for the rook, so the knight can give check, but we can't take the queen anymore. Thanks.
Chessvibes you really help me improve in chess,I was in a similar position the I was black pieces the white pieces was giving me like infinite chess till he blunders in a move so that leads me to check mate.
Happy to hear you getting better! I'm curious though, will it really be that obviously winning if we trade our rook for the queen? For example, taking one of the lines you've described - 1. Ne6+ Ke7 2. Ng5+ Kd6, and on Nxh7 we get Kxe5 (and if the rook escapes, it seems that queen escapes too). Will this be still an easy win, or we'll get another tricky pawn endgame?
Btw. because of your movies I came back and playing chess after years. Climbed now to 900 rating. I started from 600 and moved to 700 then back and forth with stupid mistakes and after fixing it and not panicking when was down even -7 points I won the game.
So the best move for black is Ke7 then? Would an engine play that? You'll lose your queen to Ng5+ discovered check, but after Kf6 you'll at least get a rook for it. With a knight extra white probably wins, but still has to work for it, maybe if low on time not a guaranteed win...
Why can't black push the pawn for a discovered check instead of moving the queen first? It moves the pawn and prevents the knight/rook mate, and it gives black the initiative.
Hold up though... as long as the queen is there... Rook to E8 is not checkmate even with the king covering it. IT would just be a poor trade for black...
After the black queen is on G6, couldn't you just move p-F4, and then f5, forcing the queen to move and the game is over, as the queen will be taken or there will be checkmate?

He's a great guy. Wish him all the best. Next time he should refrain from taking the shots we are not allowed to name.

7:44 what's wrong with pushing the pawn one last time?
That’s what I was wondering
Queen takes knight white loses

Also the queen would be able to take the knight since it's no longer protected by the rook when the pawn is in between

another great video man. good luck on your recovery
Nice puzzle, glad things are getting better for you.
Wow what an amazing puzzle! Keep resting it and hope it gets better
7:48 Why cant you push f pawn and attack queen with it?
It would cut off the defense of the rook to the knight and when queen takes theres no m8 threat
Hope your leg is getting better. Thanks for your efforts here, much appreciated.

Thanks - so good to see some new chess videos
Love your videos. You explain your plans and choices so well. All the best for your health.
Don't work when Kc7, Kf8, Kd7, a4
You're the greatest, I've learned so much from watching and studying your posts, fantastic!
Wishing you nothing but the best Nelson. Take a break as long as you need. We’ll be here awaiting your return.
Can anyone explain why f4 instead of f3 doesn't work near the end if you follow up with f5 ?
f5 will block the rook from defending the knight, so the blck queen can just take the knight.

i like how the recommended for "learn this next" is his video talking abt his gout
good luck tho stay strong
1... Ke7 2. Ng5+, Kd6 3. Nxh7, Kxe5
Is this a clear win for white?? Just a Knight up, and Black's king is better positioned
This will give black additional waiting move required
Hope you recover soon Nelson.

In the back rank checkmate part dont u have discovered check with the pawn? Correct me if I’m wrong

Try using Queen to d3 🎉

Wow, that's a nice deep problem. Glad your feeling better. I get acute gout in my big toe, so yeah I've go the T-shirt.
4:25 queen d6 check and the queen takes the rook.
QxR
what are you saying right now
Pawns are going the other way, the queen wouldn’t be defended.
black pawns walk downwards, the queen is not protected, it's M6 after KxQ
Hope your blood clot and your gout gets better ASAP, Nelson!
When black king moves to c7 the queen should check the king on d6 and take the castle
Black pawn's going the other way so the Queen is undefended so the King takes
@@tiltmasterflex7220 lol you're right nvm

7:00
You say there are no good moves here...
What about pawn to f5!!?
:)
The queen takes the knight.
When he says black’s only move is c-4 🤯
After the black queen is on G6, couldn't you just move p-F4, and then f5, forcing the queen to move and the game is over, as the queen will be taken or there will be checkmate?
I initially thought that, but it blocks the rook from protecting the knight. So the queen will take it, and you’ve removed the checkmate net
@@josephhautzenroeder7512 Thank you....I shouldn't do this late at night. Much appreciated
Black move a4 instead of h4

Can’t the queen just take the rook at e8?
