They should have purchased a multi complex house that can pay off it's mortgage by collecting rent from tenants and also afford them free accommodation by them staying on one of the units. That would have been the biggest win.

@@emekaoluchibianca8344 it makes sense in that way because they are still new investors especially in the Uk market, it's gonna make them accumulate more properties in a more shorter time and also make then extra money, then with the rents(passive income) they can pay the mortgage easily

Really ??? Several tier 2 visa holders have bought houses oo… so check other banks or mortgage advisors
The rent-to-buy has a strict criteria. This type of mortgage requires a 5% deposit. However, if you save 10% deposit, you can get a mortgage, like Tochi.

It appears they're in Northern Ireland. Housing there is pretty cheap
