New subscriber My first flight was in a 172 back in 1984. My friend gave me the controls. Also had my dad and a roommate on board. I didn't keep the controls very long because I didn't want to get people sick! LoL 😂😆 The piolet was a crop duster. He did a mock run on a lake. My dad asked to "see something". We found out what a skid slip felt like! It's been several years but I have spent some time in a 150. Can point it anywhere we want to go. Still need help on landings! Way to follow your dreams! Stay true to yourself! Girlfriend looks like she's having fun! Shared interests are a must for a relationship!
Decades ago, my boyfriend took me flying. He was testing me to see how I could handle flying. We married, had kids, bought a plane 3 years ago and yesterday was our 33 rd anniversary. I wish you both the best. Enjoyed your video and channel.
As a pilot an former Flight Instructor, I’m very impressed that you kept your focus on piloting instead of the girl friend. Keep that up young man. Best of luck in your flight education.
I was watching and thinking how nice it was that the visors were upgraded in this old Cessna and then at 13 minutes the camera flips around showing dual GTNs and dual G5s! Avionics worth more than the aircraft they were installed in haha. You have a great platform to learn with. This video captures so much about the joy of flying. Great job young man and hopefully your girlfriend will get her cert one day as well.

Look forward to future videos brother.
Using aileron in the stall and approach to stall is super dangerous dude, that gets people killed. Stall and approach to stall ailerons should always be neutral, use slight rudder inputs to keep the wings level. That’s how you drop a wing and it’s how people end up spinning in the circuit.
@ it’s not your fault brother, it’s that of your flight instructor and his flight instructor and that instructors instructor. Stay safe and fly safe bro 🤘
Concur. Cessnas are particularly prone to this and particularly with flap out. I learned to fly in a Cessna 150 in 1972, and my instructor took great pains to demonstrate this to me.
I wish you the best of luck man. I know exactly how you feel. I go for my instrument checkride this month then I’m starting commercial, hoping to make it to the airlines within the next 2 years. Glad to see someone my age doing what I love doing!
Great job man.I started my Private years ago then stopped. My one piece of advice, not that you asked for it but I noticed when you were doing your turn you had a really tight grip, loosen it up a bit. Relax. I will eventually go back. Now I am just a gambler on my channel lol.
@@PatrickHoodDaniel That is a valid fear. Most of us pilots have a very safety oriented mindset and we would do anything to keep our passengers and the people on the ground safe. I hope you get a chance to go up in a small plane again and maybe crush that fear. Thanks for the support!
Performing steep turns or any other training maneuvers with passengers on board is not good procedure. They can panic or unexpectedly try to grab controls, or get sick. Doing a stall is definitely ill advised. Your technique is fine, but put your showing off in neutral. Save displays of your skill to yourself or a CFI.
@@LW_Aviation That's great. You were clearly attentive and not easily distracted, and she was enjoying it immensely. It's also better to do stalls in that aircraft with someone in the passenger seat to even out the wait to avoid stalling the left wing before the right wing. I remember when I first went out to the practice area and did stalls solo, it really freaked me out how much faster it wanted to dip to the left. Be ready with that right rudder and no aileron!
LOL Great video. Your GF sounds like my wife when I complain about my landings. Typical response: "We're alive, the plane's okay, the rest is just pride..." Keep it up!
Good video. Mine is a Mooney, so I get to feel it too. But I have a question: Have you considered shoulder straps for your seatbelts? Your panel is further away from your face than mine, but keeping loved ones safe when things go wrong is what made me add them some 16 years ago.

@@LW_AviationI agree with @SnoDawg because you just got pilot license on November 6, 2024 and you let her ride with you too soon. I would never let my daughter to ride with you right after your passing on your pilot license because you are still inexperienced pilot.
