- Surprise! Star Trek: Prodigy Season 2 has been released online. But there is a catch! It’s released on FranceTV, which is the French National Broadcaster-very similar to the BBC here in the UK. Trekkies were initially confused at the sudden, unannounced release of the highly anticipated second season.

I support you 💯! France TV is a public broadcaster in France, and it is not forbidden to report about anything they broadcast officially! It’s not like that they are pirating the series, they have paid for these rights, and it is up to them when they will broadcast the series! Neither those who gave them these rights (Paramount), nor anybody else should complain about you covering a legitimate release!
You'd think Netflix would look at this and just drop the episodes because man the wait is frustrating.
I really hope all the episodes are dropped at the same time because the first season got released soooo slowly

As a frenchman, I binge watched it this week end, but to be honest the french dub is nothing compared to the original actors' voices, so I'm looking forward to watching it again when it pops up on Netflix, a second time, then a third time, and a fourth, it was sooo good!
I want B'Elanna to be the Voyager-A's engineer or have some appearances maybe along with a little 5 year old Miral :)

Most French’s were probably looking more forward to Picard when it was coming out
I'm English and I don't understand a word of French, yet I thought I'd watch S2 anyway... even without understanding the words, the story is easy to follow; 10 eps in and loving it.
Luckily it’s a cartoon so you can guess the story quite easily. If you want some nuance, get Chat GPT to listen to the audio and translate it for you minute by minute, but that’s a really tedious process.

In the first episode of the new season, Janeway leaves for tattooine to find a zero point energy device left behind by the Asgardians. A Magoch world ship emerges from a subspace rupture and attacks Janeways ship, the USS Orville. They board the ship using modified Ju87 stukas and find that 25 star general zap brannigan is being held prisoner on the ship, he informs Janeway that the only way to destroy the ship is to lay down the fattest dis track in the universe on the ships captain, Professor Snape. Q pops in and offers Janeway popcorn but she refuses and Q leaves. Then Janeway uses her cell phone to call cortana who uses the dragon balls to come up with the ultimate dis track and sends it yo Janeway. She goes up to the bridge and asks the captain if he wouldn’t mind blowing up the ship. He says okay and Janeway beams back to her ship the UNSC Infinity. Then the episode ends with everyone making homemade icecream with chancellor martok.

I just couldn't get into Prodigy. I tried multiple times, and it's just not great. I have been watching Star Trek since I was a kid and am a lifelong Trek fan, but this show was just unwatchable for me personally. I'm glad enough people liked it enough to save it for those who want it to continue. I'm just not one of them 🤷♂️
Well it’s legit made for kids as an entry show to Star Trek anyways.
