    More restaurants and eateries please!! Nothing like dining beachfront with the sound of the waves and a ocean view.

    I never considered those front street shops as "historic". They were all tourist attractions catering to tourists. Maybe the County should work something out with those who had shops hanging over the ocean to relocate them away from the ocean so that everyone can enjoy the shoreline scenery and the shops wont be impacted by storms.

    Oh course the business owners like get back to exploiting the Hawaiian culture for the tourists… “local”, meaning non-Hawaiians who live here🙄.
    Let the land and the people heal.
    I hope it never goes back to being a tourist spot, was so ugly!!!
