    I am taking my 65 in two weeks. After studying for a solid 29 days from another firm's material, I wish I found you sooner. How you explicate the NASAA outline is working so much better for me. I love these videos. I did send you an email. :)

    Dean. I wish you a very happy 2023. Thank you for everything you do.
    There are a lot of detailed info regarding Gov debt (t-bills thru T-bonds) - differences in par values, callable features, quotes… are these details all very testable for series 65? Thank you.

      Perfect. Do you think the info included in the specifications are sufficient in regards to this specific topic?

    Why are bonds bought at a premium quoted at YTC? They pay less my thought is discount pay more and you'd want to refinance at a lower rate the bonds at a discount?

    Hi Dean. I'm taking the 65 exam in 2 weeks. Do you have a downloadable class note which you presented in the video?

    Dean I didnt understand this following question, could you please help me?
    “A client has a TIPS with a coupon ratr of 4.5%. The inflation rate has been 7% for the last year. What is the inflation-adjusted return?
    a) -2.5%
    b) 4.5%
    c) 7.0%
    d) 11.5%

      I would have answered B. The principal value the US Treasury owes you is adjusted by inflation as measured by the CPI. So if this for example is the first year the US Treasury now owes me a bit over 1,070 because the adjustment is done semi annually. I receive the coupon of 4.5%. If this wasn't a TIP and there wasn't an adjustment for CPI answer would be A. 4.5%-7%.

      @@Series7Guru sorry to be a pain…i know you got 1,070 (principal adjusted by inflation) but how come the inflation-adjusted return is the coupon?

    • @Series7Guru
      @Series7Guru  3 роки тому +2

      @@ximenalmg3171 because is the interest you received on the bond and that
      return is in excess of inflation of 7%.

      The NASAA tesf specifications pdf is. My annotations to it are not. I do get many requests. May have to clean it up at some point and make it available.
