I have a Taurus TH40 and I get crap for it whenever I post it from people who never owned one nor shot one. The quality is pretty decent, great SA trigger, shoots flat and fast. Only thing I did was get Lakeline Fiber Optic Sights. I love it! 🥰
I have a 9mm G2C. I actually like it a lot with a few upgrades. I installed a Keep Tinkering SAO trigger, TruGlo night sights with the u-notch, and I run it with the 15 round mags with the sleeves.
I think you don't know what it's like to live in this expensive region. For that reason, I strongly defend Taurus. The price and quality are excellent and I always trust Taurus with my life.
I have no argument with regards to Taurus having questionable quality issues. However to say that any firearm is a 100 percent drop safe is crazy. I like Glocks but nothing made by man is perfect!
I have 500 through mine, and it still runs great. I noticed that it's easier for me to limp wrist it when shooting from the hip or just having a very loose grip purposely to see if it would cycle. Probably just a me thing.

My wife a a stainless G2c with 2 12 round mags. It's been 100% reliable, still looks as good as it did the day we bought it. And I think the trigger is better than my g26. My son had a g2s and it's been reliable so far. Bith won't go into battery if you press check just enough to crack open the chamber a hair. If you press check quick and atleast half open it will return fully
I got g2c in. 40 and I love it fr only paid $154 and some change and got like 600 rounds through it and works fine it's one of my concealed carry guns I take with me
My first gun years ago was a Taurus pt111 g2. Had over 500 rounds through it, no problems. Sold it to a friend after I got my shield. But it was a fine gun, especially for the price. Way better than the pos Kahr cm9 I bought. Nothing but problems with that gun. Ftf, fte. Plus it tore my hand up. And a total pain to take down. Still have it. Hard to get rid of a gun with so many issues.
I own 4 of them and the 19th one cracked the barrel I think I decided due to misuse of ammunition. The factory protects the warranty with factori ammunition. And they don't reload in South America, ammunition is used reload by ammunition.

I also have highend rigs that cost thousands but don't knock great prices and manufacturing processes that Excell. 👍
The G3C was great for me for several years, at about 2,500 rounds I started have light primer strikes that I didn’t have with my Sig, Kahr, or Glock. My Beretta has also never given me issues. I doubt I would get a GC3 again. I do have the PT92 in stainless which looks and runs awesome.
About two days ago I had just picked up my first 40 Smith & Wesson. I picked up a trade-in Glock 23 and paid 330. I love it way more than my 19 but I hate that it’s more expensive for the ammo and harder to find sometimes but you really got me into 40. I was like yeah even if I shouldn’t be buying this right now I need it.😂

I jumped back in to cut the shooting cost on my .44s and .357s down, but I rolled up a ton of .380 so I can run my Beretta 84 more affordably. Tool up for .40, and you'll have an excuse to pick up a 10mm. "Already got the dies and bullets, it would be downright silly not to get a ten to get full use out of them!" ... This is the logic that ran me out of safe space
I had two G3c’s that had one weird flaw. Federal 147 grain HSTs would not chamber. Chamber too short. Stuck hard. Same rounds ran fine in a Ruger. Everything else in 115 and 124 and even Federal 147 hardball worked perfectly. Did have to grind down the front sight on one. Perfect now. FYI, Sig P226 mags work and are superior quality. G27 for the win!
Fact, most hate of certain guns come from people with very little or no personal experience with them. I wouldn't call taurus pistols fancy designer guns, but they are practical guns, meaning they work as intended. I have 2, the 9mm g2c, and the 9mm fuller size g3. When using any type of steel cased ammo the g2c would jam badly, with the slide remaining stuck in the forward position after firing a round, requiring me to pound out the fired case with a cleaning rod. Tulammo is the worst. It runs any kind of brass or aluminum flawlessly. I have no intentions of trying any kind of steel case in the g3. The only minor problem i have had with the g3 is when using jhp's or flat tip fmj sometimes the first round in the mag will hang up on the feed ramp when attempting for chamber the first round. A simple tap on the bottom of the mag fixes this.
SPN I watch all of your video's because I think you give an honest review, but I think the GX2 you got was a bad one off the assembly line because all the other video's I've watched have said nothing about the finish work on the inside of the gun being rough or trash. Several of the gun tubbers have ran 1000's of rounds thru them without any problems. Yes Taurus is a low end gun for little money but they work and work good.
I have owned my Taurus G2c since 2017. It has a 3,000 round count without any issues. The finish has held up well. I have never experienced any rust. I have not had to replace any parts. It has been reliable and accurate. I have a few Glocks in my collection that could not make it to a 1k round count. Had to send both Glocks back to the factory for repairs. Taurus has come a long way since then, Now if I buy a Taurus I look for the Georgia stamp.

My dad's g3c is pretty good. And I have a poly judge and a 605 from them, the 605 came in rough shape but it shoots and it's surprisingly accurate, and my judge is superb. Taurus has some models that are pretty consistent
Own 6 taurus handguns, and a rossi lever action. Never had a problem with any. Conceal carry i use the gx4, and the TS9 for shoulder carry. You should get a TS9 and review it.
@agentq1980 The black finish on mine never has rusted. Just touch up the scuffs and scratches with rubbing alcohol and Super Gun Blue on a Q-tip. Looks like brand new after light oil and rub down. Stainless is too bright and reflective.

I swear anytime, I write about the problems I had with my two Glocks. I always get the Glock, people saying no, that is not true and that doesn't happen, with Glocks. Sorry to inform you but it does happen with Glocks. I am not saying, all Glocks are like but it does happen, coming across issues getting a lemon. The two Glocks I own have been reliable after getting them back from the factory.
I like the g2 & g3 series okay, the trigger is a little strange. Now, the auto that's a real banger from them is the GX4. I like it on par with the Sig P365, and quite a bit more than the Springfield Hellcat
Keep Tinkering makes excellent triggers for these, and they're only $30. I installed a SAO short-stroke trigger in mine. It took about 35 minutes following his video.

As someone who absolutely hates Taurus quality and finish, they work enough. Yes, there are people out there who absolutely get one that won't work, but that isn't a massive issue. No lie, the Tx22 is the best 22lr pistol on the market for the price. I've had many 22 that won't run well, one I'm reviewing now. I had the first run Tx22 that had over 5,000rd in, then I started buying the upgraded models and compact, which have also never failed. I've only seen them not like Winchester flat tips. The biggest gripe I have with Taurus is that gritty slide finishes that wear off quickly.

I have a g2C in 40 and 9. Also a g2S 9mm make sure if you bought before 1/15 you have until 2/15 to submit your rebate.

A great example would be the fact that a prius runs perfect. But if you compared it to a Lamborghini, it would be a poorly made car.

Always go with the stainless finish on the Taurus. The blued and black finishes will rust.

Taurus is crap. No one should carry it. It can be a nice wall decoration.
As someone who absolutely hates Taurus quality and finish, they work enough. Yes, there are people out there who absolutely get one that won't work, but that isn't a massive issue. No lie, the Tx22 is the best 22lr pistol on the market for the price. I've had many 22 that won't run well, one I'm reviewing now. I had the first run Tx22 that had over 5,000rd in, then I started buying the upgraded models and compact, which have also never failed. I've only seen them not like Winchester flat tips. The biggest gripe I have with Taurus is that gritty slide finishes that wear off quickly.
