He really is, and his body of work in the bespoke trade is amazing! I spent most of my adult life in the rag trade, on the ready to wear, and custom side of the business, but my passion has always been in bespoke, and it was an absolute pleasure meeting and talking with him!
This jacket is speaks of culture, class, style, bespoke - it just is a statement all on its own. The jacket does the talking. Absolute class act. Trinidad shines through.
Your tailoring skills are only eclipsed by your creative designs! I love the way you think in designing the lines, and details of the various garment areas, such as the pockets, lapels, and right downs to the button placement. Bravo!
Beautiful jacket ! I've seen it in prior videos ...whether simply hanging on a coat rack in the background...or ....with Mr. Ramroop demonstrating how to sew buttons on the garment . Extraordinary piece ! Extraordinary Tailor !
I'm glad my brother. When I first got into the clothing industry you didn't need to go to college to make $100,000 a year, and tailors could have their own business, like Dapper Dan.
the jacket he's wearing is stunning, so interesting, colorful and fun but without being obnoxious at all, which is hard to do when making flashier clothing
Love how the camera man asked questions like he does. Those suits are very nice. I would hate to see the bill for that suit. Probably a 5 grand suit when it's all said and done. Very nice though
It wasn't my home. We met through a mutual friend at his New York City fitting for a client. Incidentally, I was told that I was meeting a fashion designer, but when I walked into the room and saw that sport coat he was wearing, along with the makings of what was about to become a bespoke suit, I was completely blown away! Our interview was impromptu and I'm happy with the spontaneity of our exchange.
Andrew - I love the plaid jacket you are wearing. Is the fabric still available? Does your store sell it or where might I be able to source a few yards.
The workmanship is beautiful. His armhole is quite low compared to Anderson & Shepherd or Huntsman, not sure how the jacket will respond when he makes bigger arm movements.
I've been following him for about a decade. You can track his "evolution" into a racial grifter, starting just before Obama was elected. Kind if ironic for a man that regularly buys 10-25 thousand dollar suits.

The jacket is unique that he's wearing .... the only problem I have is the shoulder joints are way to pronounced for me ... don't know if it's the thickness of the fabric, but the shadow that is cast makes his right shoulder look like its coming off ... deal breaker for me.
@Atma Kali The shoulder head is perfect, that's the sign of a tailor on Saville Row, you know nothing about bespoke clothing. Your here for nuisance value.
Andrew is such a gentleman and very humble. He has made clothes for well known people from all over the world.

How can you not love Andrew? He is superb!
He's the best in the world and is a true artist.
Thank you!
Andrew is so eloquent and polite, but not once did I hear a "please" from Kevin
Talk about… I picked this up too
Mr. Ramroop... "You're the best; better than all the rest." Thank you for sharing your story of many magnificent accomplishments through the years.

This man is an artist !
Absolutely
Listening to Andrew Ramroop discuss tailoring is addictive.
Indeed it is
This man is classy....beautiful sports jacket...peace
I am absolutely speechless Kevin. I’ve had a totally different opinion about fashion until I watched this video. I learned a lot. 👊🏾

sublime

When this man is your tailor, nobody else is better dressed.
No doubt
This would be so pleasant to listen to if they just edited out Kevin Thorbourne’s voice and had the entire video just being Mr. Ramroop talking.
Love Andrew's jacket...
The man is elite.
Gee, I like Andrew's jacket though. Love that.
Thanks for this upload. Informative and his jacket looks great
Not for me but looks great on him. But I do like the ticket pockets
I do as well, it was a great pleasure meeting and spending time with Andrew
Awesome interview excellent master tailor!
Thanks so much

Andy is a master jedi of the tailoring
No doubt
Great work Andrew!!!!
see, this is exactly what I'm talking about. It's like a Rolls Royce.
Yo Kev. Excellent as usual. Thank you
Thanks so much!
All tailors are distinguished gentlemen…That’s why I’m not a tailor.
This was great
Thanks so much
great video, how did you end up with Mr. Ramroop in your home?

Great information
Thank you!

We spent the day together and he moved around very comfortable to me.

I was in the high end men's clothing industry for over 35 years, and I've come to learn that everything ain't for everybody.
He’d be my choice. M.
Your from which country sir
My dad was from Kingston Jamaica, and I was born in Harlem.
BTW, Andrew is from Trinidad
What a hideous piece of garment
No doubt everything ain't for everybody! Lol
That’s a horrible jacket he’s wearing. Just about everything is awful. Terrible fit. Just awful garment.
I take it that you're an expert in men's bespoke clothing! Lmaooooo
BTW, show me an example of a good fitting jacket.
