We also have a very active hurricane season here too. But having lived in Florida for the past 55 years, you learn what to do and what not to do. I haven't watched many video on Thailand in the last few months because every time I do, I feel Thailand pulling on my heart. I miss Thailand, the people, the culture, the food, the malls, the incredible transportation systems...

We were back in our hotel by the time it rained :) we got lucky to not have much during the day while we were out. We are staying near the Phloen Chit station on Witthayu rd. Any ideas where I can take a 12 yr old? It’s too hot for anything outside. We did bowling and a movie already, aquarium tomorrow.
Besides an umbrella, do you recommend rain shoe covers? I don't want to walk in soaking-wet sneakers. Would rubber rain shoe covers work in Thailand rain?
I got so lucky when I was there from June 4-11, there wasn’t a single drop of rain, maybe on my first night there. Plus it wasn’t as humid either. Definitely want to come back and visit my homeland again ❤

I bought hiking shoes and use them now. Before I used an old pair of sneakers. You are right flip flops are slippery when you walk through water.
