THANK YOU for answering my biggest question. I've been playing for a year and a couple months now with monthly lessons, playing and practicing weekly. I've been playing with some Lady Cobra (I think they were made on 1990's!) clubs I got off from Craiglist that got shortened for my height. You and Nick explained so well the reasons to get fitted early. Ok now lets save up for fitting and new clubs. Thank you!
Michele. Thanks for the video. It's always exciting to be fitted for new clubs and even more exciting to get them and start playing with them. Keep up the good work 👍 🏌⛳
Hi...loved my Gen 2 SGI irons ....but I then went to Gen 3 XP irons and was a little disappointed .... then yesterday I was fitted for the GEN 4 P irons and all i can say is WOW i love the feel and the flight of the ball off these irons....can't wait for golf season.... cheers all from Canada
Michele I’ve always considered you to be one of the calmer of the golf UA-camrs out there , but your little face was lit up with joy when hitting those drivers 🤣 something about fitting days brings out the little kid in all of us , I’m glad you were kept in your favourite speeder I play a speeder evolution 661 VI and it’ll be very hard for someone to convince me to go with something else unless it offers me something revolutionary,…great video 😃
@@michelelowgolf7501 hello Michele, enjoyed your fitting video. First timer watching your videos, I have just subscribed and looking forward to the other ones. Just have a question on your Fujikura shaft as to the model you play? I noticed you said it was stiff regular and the weight is 42 grams which is ultra light. Think I may benefit from a shaft like yours but possibly in a regular flex. My SS is 80ish mph and I play a Ping shaft @ about 55 grams. Also what length is your driver? Thanks Ken
Great info! Getting fitted for PXG driver next week. For weekend hackers like us, get the XF (F - Forgiving). Currently using Ping GMAX 400. Most forgiving driver out there. I find the fairway 80 percent of the time with this driver with no practice. I don' even hit range balls anymore. Just warm up with pitching and chipping. Hit a few 3 woods to warm up. After 5 years of tinkering with my swings I finally figured out that for me the most important swing thought is create as much weight on the club head on the downswing. Another word for that is LAG. I don' think about how each of my body parts must move to achieve this. I just let my body figured it out for me. This has free up my swing and I have more fun out there. No more internal war with myself when I hit a bad shot. LOL
I have replaced my old PXG Gen2 to Gen 4 and sets of 0311Forged wedges too but I kept my Old Gen2 Closer Putter and Honma TW747 hybrids . I been using it for good few months and the Gen4 Driver is working great and irons very forgiving with good distance as well . I’m highly recommended everyone get a golf clubs fitting before buying it blindly on shelves or online .
I’ve been gaming the PXG 0211’s this year and I love them! I hit them better than my old Ping G400’s. In fact, I haven’t hit my irons very well for several years now; but even my playing partners have commented how well I’m hitting my irons 😳👍🏻 Maybe it’s from “Golf with Michele” videos 👊🏻 I didn’t get fitted (I ordered them through the PXG web site). In fact, I have a bad taste in my mouth regarding fitting. I’ve been fitted TWICE (once for a driver, and once for irons). Didn’t hit either well. Perhaps I didn’t get a good “fitter” (like Nick), or perhaps my swing is not consistent enough. Good stuff … keep up the good work.
@@michelelowgolf7501 Thank you 🙏🏻 … but it begs the question Should you buy clubs to FIT your swing? … OR, fix your swing to fit your clubs? Can one do the later? 🤷🏼♂️
I got fitted for first time ever last month and got the PXG Gen3 0311 XP's. It came down to 3 brands that I would have never thought of or even consider. Decision made after fitter recommended to try the 3 with 6 iron and check those numbers. So one bit of advice is to get a good fitter!!
I think your topping the ball with the new driver head .I think you have to spend some time with the new drivers .I just bought the new Taylor made driver 10.5 carbon wood stealth and a 4 hybrid stealth. one question.my old driver has a flexible shaft and the new one is stiff.is stiff better and what's the difference?

I would be very worried if a fitter told me the Gen 3 irons were forged 3 times, they were forged 5 times the same as the Gen 4s, how can he get that wrong?
Just an FYI, in the video, the fitter states the gen 3 are 3 times forged and the gen 4 are 5 times forged. Just want to correct this by noting per PXG both are actually 5 times forged.
Hi Michele, I had just scheduled a club fitting with PXG when I saw your video. Spot on!! :-) . Thank you so much for your videos which I find so helpful in building my new swing. Just a question: I am not a good player yet (a bogey or even double bogey is a good hole for me... :-)) but I have the ambition to become one. For one year I have been playing 2 to 3 times a week + some lessons with a Pro + driving range sessions. I was focusing on the 0211 range from PXG, but should I consider the GEN 4 higher range? Would it be a waste of money or would I have benefits when my swing will have improved? Again, thank you so much for your great help.
Todd, I don't know the answer to your question, but I do know that PXG offers weights from 2.5 gm going up to 20 gm, in 2.5 gm increments. They also sell a weight kit with all the options except the 2.5 gm weight in it. My guess is that they would say that you shouldn't leave a weight port empty.
This is an important video. Notice no resistance to an increase in driver loft to over 11! Most men would resist this but it has nothing to do with ability or strength. So get fitted. It's cheaper than having five or six driver/shaft combos trying to fit yourself. Just look in my garage.
Thanks Michelle. A very informative video on club fitting. I have a couple of questions. 1. May I know the make and the specs of your shaft for the irons? 2. Did I notice that during the takeaway for the driver, you intentionally straighten and locked your left elbow? Cheers!
Me using PXG 0211 irons (2019) … I didn’t bother to upgrade because they are serving me well and the 0311P Gen 4 irons are exorbitantly expensive in Sg.
Was difficult to hear or make out everything that your fitter was saying. Voice was a little muffled due to mask. Perhaps hooking him up with a mic next time would help.
