Staying at OFF GRID CABIN During Snowstorm! ASMR | In the Bush

- A big snow storm was predicted for Southeast Iowa, so we headed for the Cabin! There's nothing like riding out a snowstorm in the country next to warm wood stove.
I was in Boy Scouts growing up, but after I turned 18 "adulting' took over and I rarely did any of those activities. After seeing the way the world was going I decided I needed to brush up on my self-reliance and outdoor skills. So in January of 2021 I began hiking out into my woods, building fires, shelters, cooking, and doing other bush activities. I decided for my own benefit I would film and catalog these trips, and track my progress along the way. You are watching me learn in real time.
In this video series you will see me learning survival skills and enjoying nature in various forms including; bushcrafting, fire making, campfire cooking, fishing, hunting, and foraging. In many videos you will be invited along for the journey as I camp in every possible environment from under the stars, to bushcraft shelters, to tent camping and even some vanping in my van and luxury camping in campers.
In the fall of 2021 I built a small cabin in one of my favorite locations. Many of the videos take place there as well.

Thank you! For several years I dreamed of having a remote cabin that I could go to and relax. Finally one day I just decided to start on it. I had no plans drawn up or anything, I just started constructing and gathered materials as I could find them.
Cocoa and a warm fire after working in the snow. Hard to beat that.
I'm Jonesin' for this kinda weather right about now with these 70 degree dew points!

Technically, yes! it's about a mile back on a trail on my Dad's farm.

That beer is Snow Pilot by Stevens Point brewing in Wisconsin, So not really a local brew as I'm in Southeast Iowa, but Midwestern! It is a pistachio nut brown ale, has a malty sweetness I think it is absolutely wonderful.

Snow is odd in August. Is it normal this early to snow?

@@TheRockstarFarmer I’m in Rhode Island just humid and upper 79-84 degrees. The bay temperature is 74 degrees it’s beautiful swimming, fishing, just relaxing. I do enjoy snow
