It is interesting that this classy passenger engine shares many aesthetic design elements with the drag freight H7. Out of all the Pacifics I’ve seen this one looks the most like it belongs hauling a freight train.
All the best to you for Christmas and the New Year, Sean. Thanks for this great review of the C&O F-19 Pacific 'George Washington' Lionel locomotive with its passenger consist. A super powerful sounding locomotive and a real smoker with a great whistle! Like the size and details, even all the nick-nacks on the front end! After waiting a year, I hope you found it worth the wait.
A fantastic model Sean! I have to agree the feedwater heater and the air pumps all clustered on the front of the smokebox give the locomotive a pretty bizarre appearance but hey, that's what the F19's looked like. The RF&P crossed paths with the C&O and must have been impressed with the F19's since the later Pacifics rostered by the RF&P were dead-ringers for those C&O engines. Thanks for posting, and a Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Great vid, great looking engine Sean. I was told by my hobby shop earlier this year that Lionel discovered the paint was terrible, so all had to be repainted. Hence the wait. I can hardly wait for mine to arrive. Merry Christmas Sean🎄✨️🎅 and all the best to you and yours in the New Year!🎆🎇🥂
My Halloween one just came in today I’m doing a review on it later today or early tomorrow morning I’m super excited to have it after this long wait!!!
Great video and great job with the layout. I really enjoyed watching the video on this engine, I also have a Pacific F19 pre-ordered from Nicholas Smith, #490 with the Gold Eagle. I also recently purchased the Lionel NPR Berkshire #765, so these will be my first two rod engines. My engine collection is geared steam consisting of Shay's, Climax, Heisler, Alco Diesels, and 1 44 ton MTH switcher. I picked up a 6 pack K Line Heavy Weight Lackawanna Passenger set to run with my new rod engines. Happy Holidays to you and your family and I look forward to seeing more videos!
I have never linked the Lionel & MTH systems. Having said that, anyone wanting to do it has to wait for the USB cable adapter MTH is releasing in the first quarter 2025.
Sounds and looks great! Can't wait to get mine! Sounds like Lionel took my whistle suggestion seriously. ua-cam.com/video/vliibmdAAAE/v-deo.htmlsi=LSwUCNyfRVNkPwQG
The TMCC f-19s had the same whistle awhile back. Probably just reused the original sound file since it already sounded good. C&O 6 chimes are always a good sound.
I was not too impressed when I first saw the F-19. However viewing the combined set proves to be an eye opener. Happy New Year ! ✌
Beautiful set! Love all the appliances on the front and that big ol Vanderbilt tender
Sean, the F-19 is awesome with the George Washington theme but your layout truely is well done and has amazing detail!
As always, a great video. On a good looking layout, with another nice train set. 👍👍

That’s a Vanderbilt Tender. 👍🏻.
The Sportsman version ran passengers to Michigan on winter excursions trips.
