    Long time watcher, rookie paracordist/weaver. I love this wrap, turned out beautiful. And that diamond knot tutorial was the best and easiest to follow I’ve ever seen.

    I just ordered my first ESEE and I got the original Izula despite wanting the 2. I love how you did this wrap. If I’m not mistaken it’s identical to a katana wrap but I could be wrong. I couldn’t get the micarta scales so I have to do a paracord wrap. Thank you 🙏🏼 great video.

    I like this wrap the best because it has a "palm swell" on either side without being loose.

    I started getting into Paracord wrapping because I picked up a fixed blade I fell in love with. I carry a White River M1 Backpacker. Would love to see some other knife wrap ideas for this blade. Thanks for the great content.

    This was a great video and fun to watch although I personally prefer tutorials and projects that doesn't include very specific materials that most people don't have (like this knife)

    • @TheWeaversofEternity
      @TheWeaversofEternity  3 роки тому

      Thanks and I understand what you mean. This video definitely is more for people who have this knife or any knife they want to wrap in paracord. This handle wrap technique though can be applied to other tools like axes, hammers, or walking sticks. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and enjoy the video for what it is though and thank you for commenting!

    Great instruction, very descent video. One question though, Why do you call it a Stryder knife, or strider style wrap? I realize Stryder uses this pattern, but the pattern has been around for 4 decades. (That. know of.) One version uses a single strand. When in the field, after tucking the lanyard under one loop it will than It will unravel with one pull of the snake knot.

    • @richroc7
      @richroc7 Рік тому

      I could be wrong but I believe that this pattern has actually been around for a couple millennia or several centuries at the very least. It’s the same way that the Japanese sword makers tie their lace over the manta ray skin on katanas and the like.

    Have you ever made a big dream catcher made out of paracord and mix with micro cord

    • @keithdtibbettskeith5658
      @keithdtibbettskeith5658 3 роки тому +2

      I have made a wall hanging macrame with paracord and yarn. And it came out amazing. Lots of my friends thought it was a dream catcher. I've also figured out how to create letters and numbers with a 8x8 grid of paracord using the dhhk(double half hitch knot)which is a staple and common to most macrame projects

    This wrap is very beautiful though is there a way I can achieve the same look and style but with a "butterfly knife" or perhaps a bracelet?

    • @TheWeaversofEternity
      @TheWeaversofEternity  3 роки тому +3

      I don't think you 'd be able to do it on a butterfly knife simply due to how a balisong works. As for a bracelet, you could try doing this pattern over a 4 strand core, but I'm not sure how it would turn out. It might not look the same because the knife handle is rigid and a bracelet core is flexible and soft.
