I have one - looks identical - 1964 model acquired in 1965. Still love it
That’s amazing. Is it the same burst as well?
I recently picked up a new wine red Broadway. It is a great guitar, and is very well made. The factory turning out the Broadways and the Sheratons have got it nailed down. Definitely worth the price of admission.
The wine red is such a nice color on the Broadway
@@nickiden Mine definitely won the wood grain lottery. I almost bought one several times when they only came in a natural finish.
I don't play Jazz so my plan all along was to Gretschify it by installing some Filter'Trons and a Bigsby. It turned out great.
I bought a 150th Anniversary Sheraton a few months ago. That guitar and the Broadway are darn near flawless. Having had experience with the Chinese Epiphones from 2008 compared to now is a night and day difference. I'm very impressed with the quality.
@@RodVonLongrod did you install the bigsby? Is it a b12 style? I’m really thinking about putting on a bigsby as well.
@@nickiden I took the B6 from my Gretsch Rat Rod and installed it on the Broadway. I have the Chet arm on it and I think it looks better than it would with the regular flat handle.
@@RodVonLongrod oh nice. The B6 would look amazing
I've recently bought an original collection Broadway in the Christmas sale for £830. I'm very impressed with it. I play Merle Travis style and it's suits that perfectly. If you get stuck on the pickguard I can make you a PDF template from mine.
That’s awesome thanks :D. I was able to find one on eBay but if that falls through I’ll totally bug you for the template
I have 2 guitars I don’t touch and my local guitar center has a used one of these laying around and been wanting to get into jazz. Might see if they’ll trade 2 for 1.
They might. If it’s used you can probably get it for a decent price
