The Electric Loog Guitar is a small, 3-string guitar designed to make it fun and easy to play music. It is the electric version of the original Loog Guitar, which we launched 2 years ago on Kickstarter. It is a fun, little instrument with a big, serious sound.
I have an electric Looj ll , first run 2015.
Excellent choice!
God bless you guys, this is one awesome little axe!! Great for slide blues, i bought one today...love it, i can now do alot of blues bb king, santana blues, etc.
Thank you so much! We are very excited about the feedback we are getting! :)
Great project,I'm waiting till the 3 string electric guitar is available again!
Very cool. Good luck. I'm going to share this video with some electric ukulele enthusiasts. This is right up our alley.
This is right up m alley. How do I lay my hands on one of these to build up on my YT channel???
It would be very very cool if these came with 4 and 5 string necks that retro-fit the guitar. That way the kiddo or beginner can grow into a full size 6 string as their hands and skills grow.
It does come with all the string arrangements now.
I got the Loog acoustic for my son who will recieve it on Christmas this year. He is 2 and a half years old. We will see how he takes to it but I can see getting an electric if he wants one.
Loving this... I wanna share it too!

It'd be cool to build a custom Floyd rose/kahler style bridge for this and locking nut. Love to play some van Halen on one of these
Do you still offer a 24" scale neck? I saw it on your original video but don't see it now. Thanks.
I'm impressed by this guitar. I've been playing for about 16 years and feel, as a dedicated guitarist that this Loog 3 string is a fantastic invention and I'm usually not easily impressed
VERY NICE
ALL MUSIC PLAYED EXCLUSIVELY WITH LOOG GUITARS
(plugged into an AC30)
i ordered it today 5 december 2020 will iget it for christmas this year
How is it
I'd like to see a full size electric three string guitar. Anybody make such a thing?
Hay this is a great idea! stay tuned.....

Now the Loog Electric Guitar is available in 3 Models complete with a built in amp, (Mini, Pro, and Pro VI) and even a tune-o-matic bridge with adjustable Saddles to fine tune the intonation. The Action on an Electric Guitar is easier (due to the thinner strings), & they're also much bigger in versatility. However your Acoustic Guitars in a way feel like Electric Guitars (Acoustic Mini has Nylon Strings, Acoustic Pro and Pro VI have Steel Strings but Extra Light Gauge to facilitate playablity), & you can also add a Piezo Pickup. Let's kick the Acoustic Model to a new level & turn it into the Acoustic-Electric Loog Guitar.
Great idea but way too expensive.
I want, I could find a use for this in my metal!!
hotshot927able does it djent?
Indeed it does.
I don't mean to diminish the product in any way (actually I congratulate the creators of this product for thinking about music for children). But does anyone see a practical use for a person who already plays regular electric guitar for several years? Can you get any different sound or timbre that would not be possible with a regular guitar, or make some cool stuff with the 3 strings? Thank you!
Yes, definitely. I build and sell 3 string guitars. Have built some that amaze even me. You can get big sound and the piezo pickups love gain.
Ah, a fellow lefty!
I need the name of the song that this dude plays at 0:52, anyone ?
+Charly Moirano - Tush, ZZ Top
Pretty sure it's La Grange, not Tush.
cool idea just too expensive
yeah $200 for a smaller guitar is much (especially when u can just get something cheap like a Davidson and remove some strings) I think it's cool though.
yea i agree
@@ikilledmytoe8361 They're not that expensive anymore & now they have 3 models of Electric Loog (Mini, Pro, and Pro VI). Their Acoustic Loog Guitars are designed with an Electric Guitar type feel cause 1) it's easy on the fretting hand, & 2) the transition between Acoustic & Electric is a breeze. The Loog Mini Acoustic uses Nylon Strings, while the Loog Pro and Pro VI Acoustics have Steel Strings but Extra Light Gauge to emulate an Electric Guitar type feel.
@@RockStarOscarStern634 lmao 4 years ago i reccomended a shitty Amazon guitar what was wrong with me 💀
@@ikilledmytoe8361 Hi there Oscar Stern, the Loog Electric Guitars are much more affordable these days thanks to the built in amp. It's true that Electric Guitars are fantastic as for learning on due to the easier action.
Ordered 6 months ago and no product ever arrived. Got sick and tired of the emails stating this delay and that delay so I demanded a refund and surprisingly I got the refund today because yesterday they said it would be at least another 6 weeks. Ridiculous!!
Hey Kristopher! I'm sorry communication was so wonky - pre-orders for the Kickstarter-backed new Electric guitars got delayed due to, first, a two-month hiatus in production due to COVID and, later, shipping delays in third party providers (mostly because of the up in demand and down in workforce also due to COVID). We set out on that adventure in October 2019 with NO clue of what was coming up - it's surely been a frustrating ride, for what it's worth. It's a shame you didn't get your guitar, since we started finally shipping them a week ago and will continue to do so all through November. However, I'm glad you got the refund sorted out. Some banks are taking a little longer to issue refunds and have them pop up - probably why our customer care team said it could be up to 6 weeks. Fortunately, it wasn't your case!
Does it djent ?
Fido4life seeing you can use either the high or low 3 strings of the guitar I'd say...fuk yeah it does
make it 4 string.
You mean a ukuleke?
@@danielshanklin7397 He means a Tenor/Cigar Box Guitar
U can play all of these on the top 3 strings of a 6 string guitar haha
El el que habla tiene una pinta de argentino (por como habla)
de Uruguay, actually 😉🇺🇾
Dinamita Pereda jajaja
oh look it's a cigar box guitar how original lol
one lipstick pickup from a telecaster
Telecasters don't have lipstick pickups.
you can buy a mini strat for $130. six strings, three pickups, and doesn't suck.
You can buy all you want buy my friend, you are free...
There so expensive what the heck
WAAAAY to expensive!!!
Eh I bought this for my 3 year old godson it is ok but it isn't revolutionary its just a glorified cigar box guitar. The real reason the assembly has to be done by the customer is cause lets face your company can't afford to do it. Don't sell us the bs like we learn more. Besides the price of this not even assembled guitar is over priced but I gave it a shot and besides compare to a decent guitar witch is worth around 1000 this is fairly cheap but what gets me is your marketing pitch where this is revolutionary. It is an alternative to a cigar box guitar and u can't even intonate the guitar and the tuning keys are shit I put fender locking tuners on my godsons guitar wtich are far better and u should include some decent tuners at that price. That's my review on it and I think your product would sell better at 80 bucks instead of the 250 price range...
Addie b LOL 250??? That's too much.
why not just buy a cheap electric guitar and use 3 strings instead of 6, longer neck, cooler sound and not so miserably looking
This is a pointless innovation.
+John Ray I don't see the point, if anything playing with three less strings will be harder, not easier
+kainthevampireduck Seriously? It's obviously easier, especially for smaller kids.
***** you have to go upwards in the fretboard to reach notes that are very close in a regular guitar, you have to make an extra effort to reach a note that takes less than a second to play on a regular guitar.
nope, you see it's probably tuned to an open tuning, so you just lay your finger across the neck and you're already playing a chord
I've been playing three string cigar box and 6 string lap steel blues for years. Lot of fun, my guitars sound great and are fairly easy to play but a lifetime to master. Three string and even one string go back to 1900. Not a new innovation, part of music history.
