Again: planning for which devices will be where, protecting the wires with loom and using loom mounts for a professional look is always very satisfying to me.
Thanks for these great videos. it really helps me get my mind on track on what my rig really needs now and in the future. dont wait until its done to enjoy your rig because things in your life may change.
How does one learn all this electrical know how? I get so overwhelmed with not knowing if somethings enough power or not enough etc. Or will start a fire in my rig lol. HELP!
@@ExpeditionOverland cool, I’m getting greedy with your content lol, your channel as inspired my cousin and I to build our own overland rigs and get out there with our families, thank you!!
Not sure, whether you realized this while editing this.. There are double voices!! May be two mics working at a slight millisecond difference!! Never happened before on any of your videos! Just an observation to assist you on the future videos..
@@blakevernon9778 Before you dis Grahame, understand what he means The Redarc system is not a "BMS" as most people use the term; it is a vehicle electrical integration system which (among others) combines and directs electrical power between various systems that use electricity, provide charge (both alternators and solar), and batteries. What Grahame is correctly referring to is the $50 part inside the LiFePo4 battery that balances the cells. Also, you don't know Grahame or his rig, so you write an insult because you didn't know what he was saying...
@@SchroederUSMC Thanks but you’re off the mark. I have a simple interface between the batteries which prevents the starting battery from discharging. It’s never let me down. I don’t stress about current-draw every minute and do trips with minimal accessories. Less weight, better fuel consumption. Less appliances to fail. There’s always the good old cylinder gas stoves when a fire is not possible or allowed. I don’t need to ‘keep up with the Joneses’. Cheers.
I am literally on your channel for Shop Talk! The travels are an extra, a beautiful extra :)

It is the best way to do it!
Dang, that IS impressive! Thanks for the clear explanation of what everything does. Can't wait to see it all in action

Looking good! Can't wait for the nordic series!
What is the black plastic material used for the "backing" board on the switch panel shown at 4:45?
Who makes those bus bars? Those are the best looking ones I’ve seen.
Enjoy the info. Gonna help with my 2004 Jeep WJ
The redarc beeping triggered me. Ive woken up to that sound enough times i started scrambling to look for my generator
do you use tinned wire for corrosiion resistance like Yachties do?
And here I thought I was fancy because I put a 6 Gang auxbeam switch panel in the back of my rig for lights and other accessories 😆
Still is pretty fancy!
You can have 2 Redvision monitors connected at the same time? Is it just an RJ45 splitter or is there 2 superset inputs?
Yes! They are in "chain" with every component of the Red Vision system. No splitter needed as its built into the devices.
Can anyone get work done at this shop? Or only your team?

While Ryan may be an engineer, all things can be learned with time!
Can't wait for my system to arrive.
You won't be disappointed!
You aren’t going to take Orion for a shakedown before the Nordic trip?
We did! We ended up having time to get out before shipping
@@ExpeditionOverland awesome will there be a video!? lol

Ryan is a nerd!
Having the fridge on s 30a circuit is more than overkill, way more...
My battery management system cost $50! This stuff is overkill. It’s ok if you have squillions to spend but otherwise unnecessary. 😖
I would love to see that episode. “And joining us on our excursion is Grahame with his rig.”

I don’t have a ‘rig’ like an oil rig?
I drive a vehicle.
