But that doesn't mean it's hard for AM to find BW. On top of the fact the the biggest Black population is in the South, so it's really easy for an AM to find a BW in the South.

For one, their Asian population is half the size of ours. And two, there's more women than men in general. So when there is an AM who is interested because of those two things, it gives him a 1 to 15 leverage with BW vs a 1/7 leverage for BW/BM. This is why a smart BW would keep her options open with all races of men. She'll get more marriage proposal that way.... trust me, I know from personal experience. 😉

As much as i agree with your comments on his subjective way to judge or draw conclusions on specifc beliefs or values such as his club example. This is true, I'm from Jamaica and so is my husband who is Chinese. We went to the same high-school and have been dating since. There are still those people who question it but its more normal here to see mixed couples here primarily blasian couples.

A few things, qualms if you will... 1. His conceptions about black people/women 2. Her not correcting him of said misconceptions 3. I have. More than once. They just look at me stunned! Lol! But it's cool. I understand their reservations. The pairing IS somewhat unusual but divine when it does happen! I did date an Asian man briefly. We lost touch but it's something I always wanted to do and look forward to doing again for certain. Geography is important though. For example, I'm in Texas so unfortunately I don't have much access to various cultures (I don't date online). Also, there's the familial issue which essentially means that, although I respect, appreciate, and love learning about the respective Asian cultures, the fact is, I'm black and most Asian men are aware that familial support decreases drastically if he marries outside of his race, ESPECIALLY if she's black. I never realized it when I was younger. But as I got older I found myself being more and more attracted to Asian men. I never thought of them as an option because I thought they weren't into black women. My interactions with them were at school and work. An to be honest, I was shown the most respect from them than any other race of men. And that is all any women wants. There was one Asian guy that was less shy then the rest. I think he liked me but he never approached me like that. But he would always help me out with work and buy me lunch. ha He even took me to China Town one time to buy the lunch. In all honesty, I was kind of nervous. And asked what would the people say if they saw me with you? He told me don't worry about nothing their not going to say anything to you. We went in, got the food and no one gave us any funny looks. At least I didn't see any if they did. I got the feeling that if anyone would have mistreated me he would have said something. lol I like the culture, food, and work ethic that Asians have. I'm really attracted to that. It's so funny I relate to this so much. My husband is White/Korean and we get looks from black mean a lot (women don't really say much or they give a thumbs up lol) and we get a lot of looks by Korean older women. Where I live Asian girls and Black guys is more common and the younger Asian community doesn't really care. Black guys usually look like "HOW?" while they are with their White/Latina wives lol. Older Korean women look like I want you for my daughter/granddaughter lol. We are very lucky that both our families are supportive (including his family from Korea. His cousin brags that she has a black cousin now lol). My family has several interracial relationships both men and women so it was no big deal on my side.
I'm 14 and my first boyfriend was Korean (I'm black). When we walk together (we aren't dating anymore but we still hangout) people will either look at us weird or say things like "your kids will look so cute". It was really a new and different experience.

I currently am in an AMBW relationship and we have been together for 4 years. I live in Wa and our state is really diverse, I am the first Black women my boyfriend has dated.
I find that the Asian men whom I encounter are very open to interracial dating, provided the women are white. They would never bat an eye in the direction of a black woman. Again, I am only speaking of the men I encounter in my line of work.

In Trinidad its common to see asian men with black women. In america and western type countries its more rare. Even in Jamaica I heard a lot of asian men with black women and asian women with black men there

Wow, they're an adorable couple. Even when I was younger, I was never a "club" goer so I'm not too familiar with the whole club scene as a way of meeting someone. I'm not opposed to dating an Asian guy; however, it has never really been on my radar which is amazing because I find the Asian culture especially interesting. In fact, I'm in the process of learning Mandarin. I don't necessarily think about race when I meet someone. I can strike up a conversation with pretty much anyone because I love people in general. I tend to attract foreign men. I was married to a white Frenchman (divorved now) and have also dated men of other ethnicities: Latino, Israeli, Persian, Indian, Canadian (white), German (white), American (black) but never Asian...and yet I have Asian men acquaintances. The fact that I've never dated an Asian has nothing to do with them being Asian, it just never happened. If I'm honest with myself, I've always thought that Asian men were attracted to really skinny women so I never looked at them in a romantic light. I've always been curvaceous, hour glass and at times overweight. Most of my friends have said to me, "you certainly don't have trouble meeting men" and although that may be true, I'm very selective (not because of race or ethnicity) because of my spiritual beliefs. I do have a standard that I live by that I hope honors God and because of that, the men I've dated become disillusioned. I've always tried to keep my relationship with God first and although men admire it, they find it too high a standard to live by and so the relationship doesn't develop....at the same time I've never faulted them for it. My faith is such that if I'm meant to have a man in my life where there's a deep love and respect for God and each other then God will bring him into my life at the right time when I least expect it. However, in many ways, I may be my own worst enemy due to my own view of myself. My weight has fluctuated through the years and I'm always putting my life on hold until the weight comes off and therefore I've also pushed men away too. It's only recently that I've determined that here I am once again waiting on God to bring someone in my life and it occurred to me that perhaps God is waiting on me to let go of the shield (weight, how i think, excuses) and begin to open myself up to stepping outside of my comfort zone. For far too long, I've been comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. I've safeguarded myself to the point of isolation. I'm still open, friendly and not afraid to strike up a conversation but at the end of the day, I'm by myself. Now, I just turned a year older a few days ago and that's okay because im not afraid of growing older; but what concerns me is "failing to change" in order to live my best life. I'm not even so concerned with meeting/not meeting someone as I am concerned with not being my best "self" so that I'm comfortable with what I have to offer that person when he does eventually enter into my life (if that makes sense). For example, if my weight/the way i perceive myself has become my shield and the shield is preventing me from living my best life then am I willing to surrender the shield to allow the manifestation of what I've been praying for to happen. It's only recently that I've come to the realization that the hindrance in my life is not my weight but really the hindrance is how "I think" . I remember reading something "change the way you think and you will change your life"...how profound and true. This video with this beautiful blasian couple has made me see that "thinking outside the box" can be a stepping stone to a more fulfilled life...if we are willing to surrender our shields (whatever they may be). Blessings to the happy couple. Love has a way of finding you, if you are willing to allow it access.

I'm an African American woman (yes , I know my logo is an Asian boy) anyways , I have dated a few Asian guys ... at first I didn't find them attractive but my mom registered me in a school that's was 60% Asian (it was academic base) and over time I started to find them more attractive than black men. I have. More than once. They just look at me stunned! Lol! But it's cool. I understand their reservations. The pairing IS somewhat unusual but divine when it does happen! I did date an Asian man briefly. We lost touch but it's something I always wanted to do and look forward to doing again for certain. Geography is important though. For example, I'm in Texas so unfortunately I don't have much access to various cultures (I don't date online). Also, there's the familial issue which essentially means that, although I respect, appreciate, and love learning about the respective Asian cultures, the fact is, I'm black and most Asian men are aware that familial support decreases drastically if he marries outside of his race, ESPECIALLY if she's black. This is a tragic travesty but it is the reality in most cases.

I never realized it when I was younger. But as I got older I found myself being more and more attracted to Asian men. I never thought of them as an option because I thought they weren't into black women. My interactions with them were at school and work. An to be honest, I was shown the most respect from them than any other race of men. And that is all any women wants.
There was one Asian guy that was less shy then the rest. I think he liked me but he never approached me like that. But he would always help me out with work and buy me lunch. ha He even took me to China Town one time to buy the lunch. In all honesty, I was kind of nervous. And asked what would the people say if they saw me with you? He told me don't worry about nothing their not going to say anything to you. We went in, got the food and no one gave us any funny looks. At least I didn't see any if they did. I got the feeling that if anyone would have mistreated me he would have said something. lol
I like the culture, food, and work ethic that Asians have. I'm really attracted to that. But at the end of the day all one needs to do is be themselves. If you like some one let them know. They will either reciprocate or not. And go forward from there. Also like the host was saying. If you want to approach black women. All you need to do is be "confident" and straight forward with her. It's so funny I relate to this so much. My husband is White/Korean and we get looks from black mean a lot (women don't really say much or they give a thumbs up lol) and we get a lot of looks by Korean older women. Where I live Asian girls and Black guys is more common and the younger Asian community doesn't really care. Black guys usually look like "HOW?" while they are with their White/Latina wives lol. Older Korean women look like I want you for my daughter/granddaughter lol. We are very lucky that both our families are supportive (including his family from Korea. His cousin brags that she has a black cousin now lol). My family has several interracial relationships both men and women so it was no big deal on my side.
I'm 14 and my first boyfriend was Korean (I'm black). When we walk together (we aren't dating anymore but we still hangout) people will either look at us weird or say things like "your kids will look so cute". It was really a new and different experience.

My husband is black and I’m Filipino. I have the same experience whenever we are around black women and Filipino women. I got stared down while husband same experience too.
Even my own oldest sister I just found out that she’s prejudiced against black people. In my husbands case he’s no siblings and he was brought up by his great grandparents. For me and my husband it didn’t matter to us but my daughter sometimes wish she is only one race. Because she’s got my quiet and soft spoken personality so one time a black kid in her school told her you’re not black and why did your daddy marry other race. Anyway, what’s important to us is we have a strong bond, love for one another and faith in God. We always tell our 2 kids that they are loved and perfect the way they are. Wow, they're an adorable couple. Even when I was younger, I was never a "club" goer so I'm not too familiar with the whole club scene as a way of meeting someone. I'm not opposed to dating an Asian guy; however, it has never really been on my radar which is amazing because I find the Asian culture especially interesting. In fact, I'm in the process of learning Mandarin. I don't necessarily think about race when I meet someone. I can strike up a conversation with pretty much anyone because I love people in general. I tend to attract foreign men. I was married to a white Frenchman (divorved now) and have also dated men of other ethnicities: Latino, Israeli, Persian, Indian, Canadian (white), German (white), American (black) but never Asian...and yet I have Asian men acquaintances. The fact that I've never dated an Asian has nothing to do with them being Asian, it just never happened. If I'm honest with myself, I've always thought that Asian men were attracted to really skinny women so I never looked at them in a romantic light. I've always been curvaceous, hour glass and at times overweight. Most of my friends have said to me, "you certainly don't have trouble meeting men" and although that may be true, I'm very selective (not because of race or ethnicity) because of my spiritual beliefs. I do have a standard that I live by that I hope honors God and because of that, the men I've dated become disillusioned. I've always tried to keep my relationship with God first and although men admire it, they find it too high a standard to live by and so the relationship doesn't develop....at the same time I've never faulted them for it. My faith is such that if I'm meant to have a man in my life where there's a deep love and respect for God and each other then God will bring him into my life at the right time when I least expect it. However, in many ways, I may be my own worst enemy due to my own view of myself. My weight has fluctuated through the years and I'm always putting my life on hold until the weight comes off and therefore I've also pushed men away too. It's only recently that I've determined that here I am once again waiting on God to bring someone in my life and it occurred to me that perhaps God is waiting on me to let go of the shield (weight, how i think, excuses) and begin to open myself up to stepping outside of my comfort zone. For far too long, I've been comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. I've safeguarded myself to the point of isolation. I'm still open, friendly and not afraid to strike up a conversation but at the end of the day, I'm by myself. Now, I just turned a year older a few days ago and that's okay because im not afraid of growing older; but what concerns me is "failing to change" in order to live my best life. I'm not even so concerned with meeting/not meeting someone as I am concerned with not being my best "self" so that I'm comfortable with what I have to offer that person when he does eventually enter into my life (if that makes sense). For example, if my weight/the way i perceive myself has become my shield and the shield is preventing me from living my best life then am I willing to surrender the shield to allow the manifestation of what I've been praying for to happen. It's only recently that I've come to the realization that the hindrance in my life is not my weight but really the hindrance is how "I think" . I remember reading something "change the way you think and you will change your life"...how profound and true. This video with this beautiful blasian couple has made me see that "thinking outside the box" can be a stepping stone to a more fulfilled life...if we are willing to surrender our shields (whatever they may be). Blessings to the happy couple. Love has a way of finding you, if you are willing to allow it access.

So I knew that there are some who are so diseased, first, to think that they own Black Women and have jurisdiction over the righteous characterization of how they live we live our lives, but I just would have thought there would be more freedom in LA cuz we're apart of the so-called "Most progressive" state in the country.

I'm an African American woman (yes , I know my logo is an Asian boy) anyways , I have dated a few Asian guys ... at first I didn't find them attractive but my mom registered me in a school that's was 60% Asian (it was academic base) and over time I started to find them more attractive than black men. However, I started to feel Asian men were too passive. They seem to just agree or do whatever I say and I want a human not a robot. Or some would "try to act black" like hood 🙄 like I can date a black man if I wanted that. Anyways , I still have a liking towards them ... idk, it's something about Asians that seems so fascinating to me and they are really loyal sweet people when you become friends with them. Also, I kind of stopped liking them as much once this Asian guy took advantage of me when I was drunk and put his hands down my pants ! I never told my Then bestfriend about it ... so, I just start avoiding going around her and we just naturally grew apart 😕 still miss her though
