In this video we bring you into Tidus’ first therapy session at the Woof Center rehab in Santa Clara, Utah. This was the VERY FIRST DAY Tidus actually put his injured foot down on the floor since his ACL injury happened. It was such a moving moment of hope for us to see our Teddy Bear Tidus 🐻 touch toes to the ground.

Life... so full of twists and turns. Adjusting as we move forward. While our temporary plans change, the goals for good health and happiness remain the same. Watching you all work as a team is amazing. This is a time for Tidus to heal so he can fully enjoy the pack life. The process may be slow but you have done your research and you can let your mind and heart be a ease knowing you are doing the very best for him. As always many healing vibes being sent his way. Congratulations on your achievement.. I understand how it felt to see this happen.. My Kira who is 14 months old suffered from a trauma six months ago when somebody threw fireworks right in front of her... She was the best dog ever... Now she has regressed... She started being disobedient, barking at everyone, biting things she never touched even when she was just a puppy exploring around...
It has become so hard to take her out for walks because she is always so nervous she wouldn't even touch her favorite treats...
I live in Syria... where animals have their vets as is having basic needs, but not the luxury treatment that could be found abroad...
I wish I could do something for her...
It pains me to see her like this.....

In so sorry to hear what happened to your beloved dog. I can’t imagine the sorrow! Our Kimahri is very very very afraid from fireworks 🧨 too. We think something happened to her before we rescued her and she stayed with that fear. As far as your dog, i highly recommended trying something new, maybe a special food she never had before like a healthy cheese (tiny pieces) and give it to her only by the door, where she’s afraid usually. This way she slowly starts to associate something special she loves and slowly gets over the fear. It will take time, but you can work through it ♥️ sending hugs 🤗
It makes me very sad to hear this. I cannot understand how people can be so cruel and mindless. I wish you the best and that Kira will become the old one again. She certainly can with a kind owner like you.

@@Linallarii Yes, with fractures it's different. The bone had to be re-aligned in a surgical procedure, and then hydrotherapy and physical therapy helped him to regain the muscle and range of motion that he'd lost during the 4 months of almost no walking.

We’re going to the snow this week, Tidus will get to enjoy hiking in deep snow for a couple of miles which is also good for his muscle building he needs 😀♥️ thank you so much for the support and I’m excited for you guys! I sure wish I would have known that an ACL injury could be healed without surgery. My lab has had plates put in bot hind legs Also had one of the plates removed a year later due to staph infection. It was horrible putting him through all of this and $12;000 later he still limps a bit. I think I will be looking for a holistic vet for his health care in future. Thanks for sharing and wishing Tidus a speedy recovery!
Siobhan W I’m so sorry to read this 😔 we did so much research on this subject, and vets don’t openly talk about the problems and side effects. We can change this by speaking and sharing this info with everyone. I hope your pup feels better by the day. I’m so happy to read you’ll be looking for a holistic vet, it’s the best thing you can do. Also, i highly recommend you to find a rehab specialist and see what steps you can take for your pup to help with inflammation and working on strengthening and building muscle mass. Sending lots of hugs to you both ♥️ we have more coming on this subject!

Stupid question you can't just take him swimming controlled walking in water Tidus has a injury
Not a stupid question at all. We would totally go to a lake or a warm beach, but this is in dry Southern Utah in Winter. Also, the water treadmill is more controlled, and we’re able to see him walking through the glass so we can measure his progress.
Poor baby he is doing so good! It hurt me when I saw him in pain! Please keep us updated.

You should’ve put some peanut butter on the window to keep him focused instead of getting anxious. I do swimming sessions with my 11 years old GS, it’s so eficiente

Yes, it's been a great recovery tool for Tidus! :) Thanks so much for the feedback, we're working on fixing the audio issue. Our all-terrain tires are pretty loud, so we're trying to figure out a way to deal with it.

Gina Guerra welcome to our channel! ♥️ the nearest swimming pool was 6 hours drive (each way) if you watch the entire video, we talk about why we’re leaving Utah. Also, hydro therapy uses different muscles and techniques which are also more controlled than swimming. Both have their benefits, but the water treadmill is important for this type of injury to help him recover faster. In our upcoming videos, we will have swimming 😀💧
