    Really cool! I make jewellery using Airdry clay and recently I've also started reusing my hand-wash bottles by styling them with clay so they can be reused.
    I've uploaded a few videos as well. I personally use oil instead of water it gives a very smooth finish and you don't need to sand after clay is dried

    • @MixitupMarci
      @MixitupMarci  4 роки тому +9

      Sara Floyd I use watercolor brushes because they hold paint better, but mine are cheap ones because I used thicker paint, I did bot want to ruin the good ones hehehe just use brushes with softer bristles with your paint, and your brush marks will not be as noticeable or be there at all. Hope that helps! ☺️

    Tip: you can put some pieces of clay in water and keep mixing it to make liquid clay (constancy is your option) and it is used as clay glue for removing and crack or if ur project broke

    • @MixitupMarci
      @MixitupMarci  3 роки тому +1

      Yes thats true, an easier way to do it is making very very thin pieces of clay and let them dry completely , then squash them and crush them into a thin powder and add water little by little, this way the consistency of the “glue” is better and you can even use this to add details to your pieces. 😉

    Does the clay not stick to the bowls while drying?

    • @MixitupMarci
      @MixitupMarci  Рік тому

      It shrinks a tiny bit, so it doesnt stick, plus you can add baking paper n then if that leaves any marks just sand it down 😉

    • @BAMSNotesSimplified_Medical
      @BAMSNotesSimplified_Medical Рік тому

      Ohhkk. That helps a lot 🙏😊
      Also, is there something that can be applied to the bowl itself, instead of baking paper, so that the clay doesn't stick?
      My problem is, sometimes we have to shape the clay using the outside of the bowl and not inside. That sticks to the bowl n doesn't come off no matter whatt 😀. Hence the question. Thank you so much for your time dear 🙏😊 your work is awesome 👍😊

    • @MixitupMarci
      @MixitupMarci  2 роки тому

      This is only for decor, no eating or drinking on these plates or cups, it could be bad for your health, so keep them just for decor, or use real clay and a kiln to make it safe for eating on. ☺️

      Marcy I am new to air-dry Clay and I am so grateful that I came across your video because I was about to give up on doing anything with the air dry clay. I come across all of these videos about air-dry clay projects but their videos are not very inspiring and they are boring. Then I came across your video. I am so inspired now and I thank you so very very much from the bottom of my heart. I have 225 lb cases of air-dry clay because I use it for wine bottles. But I decided that I needed to find out how to do projects with the air dry clay besides the wine bottles because I have so much air dry clay now. Lol. Thank you so much for the inspiration. Much love going out to ya.😁
