Great video Patrick. It's so sad when in cities like San Francisco, my hometown, are closing down Walgreen's pharmacys due to major theft. Albania looks better for retirement for me everyday!
The honor that Albanian culture exudes is a cornerstone of their lives; Besa is a central concept in Albanian culture that translates to "to keep a promise" or "word of honor". It's a code of conduct that's considered sacred and inviolable, and is a cornerstone of Albanian traditional customary law, the Kanun. The rest of the world could use a little Besa.
The rest of the world lives without any accountability and doesn't care about others. Besa and kanun make accountability personal. It has worked successfully for decades. Yes! I agree the world desperately needs it right now.
Another wonderful video! Thanks to your videos and those of some other UA-camrs we have booked a hotel in Vlorë for two weeks in April. My plan is to rent a car using Vlorë as a base.
YOU DID EDITING!!! Congrats, Patrick :D Oh, and, did you see the lights/decorations up in Korce?? It's beautiful. Can't wait to be there for it next year.
Thank you for this information. I wonder if it matters from what country a prescription is for them to just give you a new one? Living half of my life in the U.S, and the other half in Europe, I noticed these things: 1. Medication and medical services are VERY expensive in the U.S., in Europe very affordable. 2. People in the U.S. take a LOT more supplements and medication (even for prevention), people in Europe take less medication and supplements, and prefer natural health products. Regarding the pharmacy left unattended: When I moved to Europe it took me a while to adjust to the safer and slower environment. I did not realize how ´´stressed´´ I was from my surroundings in the states until I actually moved to Europe.
Well said. I agree alot of it is Europe diet is so much better then in the states. So they need the supplements. I will because of 61 years of american diet.
Good morning from HOT Texas day. The thing you should have done was check the coffee bar close by. Bet ya he/she should have being there. No one touches anything as the stores next door are “watch dogs” and no one dares take anything.
Funny ! I swear i was thinking the same thing....( stepped out for coffee ) love the fact that nothing is taken. Good to see they take care of each other.
NSAIDS like Tylenol I'm told isn't really available there. I found the same in Thailand. I missed my Tylenol PM, but figured it out. Have you seen Tylenol or similar there?
General question. Do they take credit cards over there or is it all cash or like the bigger places will take a credit card but the mom an pop shops don’t? Making my way to Shkodor. In Ljubljana now. Tomorrow Zagreb. Bussing my way to Albania to check it out !
Hi susan. Please check out some of my other videos. I go over that apartment prices. As far as jobs for seniors the pay scale here is low. Best thing i can suggest is finding work okline.
This would not happen here, at all. The Pharmacy would be stripped, very sad. This was perfect. I had questions about meds. Now, is this from, what we call, “a refill”? And are there certain meds not allowed? I would want a primary Dr anyway. But just curious. Thank you!
Not yet. We traveled back to Tirana for a few days. We had to see the square for xmas, and see some friends. I hope to post a video of the square for the holidays soon. I will be looking for a supplement store
That is just a hair over what I pay w/ my insurance, so not bad. And if you’re on BP meds, like I am, it’s a must. Patrick is always showing / telling us really good information. I appreciate that so much.
Im not making fun of you when I say these things.. Im making fun of myself.. our brains to make things that make sense to us that we don't understand yet.. so when you said Goodbye to the pharmacist my brain heard.. Mary Poppins
Man, I really appreciate this.. It has been on my mind for a long time.
I love how safe it is here. I’ve never felt so safe in my life. Thanks for the great video. I haven’t tried to get anything other than ibuprofen yet.
Yea, its so chill here.

Were you able to find a supplements store?
Not yet. We traveled back to Tirana for a few days. We had to see the square for xmas, and see some friends. I hope to post a video of the square for the holidays soon. I will be looking for a supplement store
If you could please when you purchase something tell us if it’s cheaper than Canadian and how much in US or Canadian dollars. Thanks.
I think that first medicine was about $8.
I will do my best....As far as Canadian..everything is cheaper then in Canada or u.s. Only thing so far i see pricey is vitamins...surprisingly.

And probably a fraction of the price compared to here with the greedy bastards in the US.
Of course! Profit over people is the American way!
