- EDC Fixed Blade of The Year!? Axial Knives Alpine V2 Review. This is my first time collaborating with Axial knives and I have been very impressed so far. I bought the original Axial Alpine fixed blade and I thought it was good but definitely had the potential to be great. In this video we discuss the good, the bad and also do some real world testing to see how the new Alpine V2 performs. I don’t know how you feel but having Axial bring this design back and USA Made really gets me excited.

Nice but I’m a drop point man. Love how the sheath comes all set up for pocket carry. I’d take one in D2....soon as Magnacut is mentioned, the price jumps significantly and one in D2, if done right will hit the hardness you are looking for?

Yea @ 63/64 hrc the edge stability and edge retention both go up a bunch. If you actually use your knives you can definitely tell the difference

Thats a beautiful fixie!! I'd want a fat carbon inlay personally but that O.D. looks great too.
Noticed a bunch of fixed blade content especially most of them being hand forges. You really need to check out Chad Weatherford and his 6inch “med” signature series blades I picked one up recently and have been loving it. Little work horses they are.

Stassa, do you think the Alpine V2 would be a good light duty camping knife instead of a folder? Or would I be better served by the Schwarz Overland Sport?

the boker AK1 sucks anyway when you compare it to the actual daily customs AK1, it’s cheaper by a LARGE amount but you have to have it shipped internationally
Looks great! But I was thinking. You notice how most Wharncliffes have an angled spine close to the tip, rather than a curved spine from farther back? Is this a functionally based difference? I'm guessing it's like, "the increased precision and piercing ability isn't worth sacrificing that much durability."
Thoughts?
I wouldn’t even really call this a wharncliffs, I think of a Wharncliffe as a knife that the spine drops all the way down to the tip but there are so many modified versions of the blade shape. Most wharny blades are excellent piercing blades
If you had to choose between this and a Bradford Guardian, which would you pick, Stassa?

How does it compare to the Asher Fixie which is half the price?
A little too rich for my blood for my first fixie, don’t get me wrong, if i had it, i’d buy it. Seems perfect
