It's almost two in the night and I have been bingeing your videos and creating away the whole day Karin! I can not even put into words how thankful I am for all your lovely videos. Truly one of the best and most generous channels on this topic available on UA-cam - and all of this knowledge...for FREE! Has Apple hired you yet?! I can't believe my own learning curve...considering I started just yesterday. I completed the whole floral series from start to finish, and will continue to practice. I'm on the iPhone version which is Procreate Pocket! I'm typically one to get obsessed with new things and quit quickly because I drain myself...but I know I'll always have this knowledge with me and it'll be available in my pocket literally any time I feel a creative wave or an idea coming. Your voice is so soothing and as a makeup artist I am so happy to have another creative outlet and the ability to try so many different things in one medium. Only con is that my butt hurts from sitting and painting for almost 12 hours. I have to figure out how to position myself haha... Time flies when you're having fun I guess. Thank you, again! Love you!
Haha - thank you so much for your kind comment and watching all my videos 🥰😄This is the biggest compliment for me - someone binge watching my channel!! Enjoy your iPad Lettering and painting 🤗
My jaw actually dropped as I watched this! This is so cool! I am just learning Procreate and this video is fantastic! Thank you for sharing your talents!
I’m researching procreate, so I’m pretty new to but after watching this my jaw dropped. Your letters turned out beautifully. Obviously you are very skilled, as you made it look so simple. Thank you for sharing.
SUCH a helpful video -- thank you so much! This was really easy to understand and I appreciated how we got to walk through your whole process with you. Plus you're fun to listen to! I'm so glad I found your channel :)
Thanks so much for that video! This was the first time I was able to succeed with the clipping mask - and I have had several different sets of explanations from friends. Looking forward to the printing video, as I currently just send what I want to print to my lappie instead of printing from the iPad.
Thanks for the video! Very well done, and I learned some stuff! My question for you: how do you deal with palm rejection? I’ve seen a bunch of people with drawing gloves but I see you don’t wear one, any tricks?
Hiya! Thanks so much for your kind feedback 😄Palm rejection is not a problem at all luckily - you can rest your hand on the iPad and Procreate knows to reject those touches. It also has a setting to only allow brush strokes via Apple Pencil in case palm rejection doesn't work for some reason. I very much recommend that setting in any case!
Thanks so much for the kind feedback! I collect quotes as I see or hear them and keep a list on my phone :) They come from all sorts of different places!
What colour profile do you use on your canvas? Also, how do you have you screen set up to get a fairy accurate visual representation when you’re drawing? I am having. A lot of issues with getting dark, detailess prints when creating artwork on Procreate.
Hiya! I recommend you keep a spare copy of the canvas in your gallery, and then always start with duplicating it to create a new lettering piece :) You won't be able to add it to the library because of the texture layers.
I'm in love with this! I do have a question, how do you manage to align it? I can't seem to find a way... I see that at the top of your screen the degrees appear, how can I do that? Thanks for sharing your beautiful art!
Maria de Bofarull Tap on the Transform button at the top, which is the fourth icon from the left, it looks like an arrow pointer. Then in the menu that pops up at the bottom of the screen, select the Uniform tab, and then make sure Magnetics is turned on in order to enable the snapping. Then drag the art around, it should snap align to things.
This is just amazing! I learned so much! I just can’t for the life of me to get the clipping mask to work - when I click it all color goes away :( Can anyone help? I put so much work into it.
iPad Lettering my biggest struggle is figuring out how to print the size I want. I tried to print something on 1/4 of a page so I could fold it into a card, but it kept printing at a larger size and in the middle of the paper.
my question is: if I draw sg on a smaller canvas (because i prefer to have more layers), and just copy it to a much bigger one, will it look good when I print it out?
Good question! You will definitely lose resolution when you do that. Sometimes you can get away with it (realistically you only need about 200dpi for a print on textured paper), but I would only recommend it as a last resort. Trying to be a bit frugal with your layers is much better!
@@ni.co13424 wait.... you asking her for money? Are you serious? There is a reason why people use procreate and why its priced 10 bucks...... people who use it think 10 bucks is cheap for a app like this. Stop being a cheapskate and go buy the app and support the developers and start creating things like this. I have no doubt that if you do a couple of things for your mother and be kind to her that she can buy the app for you.
Sound quality can be greatly improved with a lapel type mic. The echo in your studio is distracting. The best of videos, with less than perfect sound, really makes the video hard to watch.

Fabulous tutorial! So glad I found your channel :) Can you tell me the name of the music you were playing... very relaxing music!

Hiya! I’m showing this in part 2 of the video: ua-cam.com/video/mPpZsnDo3Bw/v-deo.html 😄
I purchased your watercolor canvas. How do I then save it into my canvas library? Thank you!
Hiya! I recommend you keep a spare copy of the canvas in your gallery, and then always start with duplicating it to create a new lettering piece :) You won't be able to add it to the library because of the texture layers.
iPad Lettering I’m not even sure how to keep a copy of it in my gallery!! 😂
is there a fix or a setting for when I rest my wrist on the ipad and accidently "write"? Or do I need to keep my hand in the air always
Yes! You can turn the touch gestures off in Procreate to avoid the accidental strokes 😄
Thank you so much for making this video! I really struggle with getting the colors right with my printer 😭 Can’t wait for part 2 👍🏼

Hello, just wondering what is the name of the back ground music you used in you this video? Thank you!
So cool! You have such a nice accent! Where are you from? So sweet!!!!
Awwww - you are so kind ☺️ I’m originally from Switzerland, but have lived in New Zealand for almost 20 years 🤗

love this but your watercolour template isn't there anymore
Thank you so much for letting me know - I've fixed it :)
Do you recommend any other drawing apps if we can’t afford procreate
I’m always surprised to hear that 😅 If you can afford an iPad and Apple Pencil, you can surely afford the $10 for Procreate 🤔
