I have fall in love with this reel
Yes, they are.
The lefty is more critical for me on lighter tackle I think. Righty on a reel this size I think I can go either way. Leaning towards makaira for reason you said and want to try something new. Thx!
Hey J&H! I love your videos and reviews! I've made my reel decisions after seeing your videos countless times! If I could ask a favor, could we see a video on the Okuma SLR-50L! That's the next one I have my eye on. Or another one of those huge level wind big game reels. Thanks fellas!
I wouldn't say that one is better than the other. They are both really nice. The Makaira does have a better warranty.
No problem. We have them in stock.
They are $619.99. Comes with a 5 year warranty. Great reels.
What are your thoughts on the okuma titus gold 50 2 speed? I was trying to find a video on it but couldn't seem to find one.
What reel is best? Are you using braid or mono?
What's better fin-nor sand as dago
I prefer the Makaira.
Is a avet 50w better than this reel?
Makaira doesn't come in lefty so if you need a lefty then Avet is the way to go. I like the Makaira because of the internal technology and the warranty can't be beat!
I will see what I can do. Thanks for watching our videos. Please support us by buying your gear from jandh.com.
Shipping would be $45.
Fin-nor s or okuma
You don't need to spend more. The Makaira is really great and it has a 5-year warranty! What could be better than that?

is this model made in china??
I believe the Cavalla is the predecessor to the makaira and has been discontinued.
what is the best for jigging wahoo on 50 lb test line?
Jigging for wahoo lol bro you troll for wahoo
I am trying to decide between a Tiagra 130 and a Makaira 130 for land based shark fishing. I honestly cannot make a choice and need some help doing so.
Either will work. They are both great. You wouldn't have an advantage with one over the other.
okay cool, thank you for the quick reply.
Okay, so I think I have decided on the makaira, but I have one last question. For my application, Would it be worth it to get the 130 SEa version or the regular version? I will be spooling it with 200 jb hollowcore and 200 lb mono topshot. Also, will those drain holes be an issue with the sand? (I wont be dropping it on the beach or anything)
Get the SEa version. You'll be fine.
Thank you for the quick reply, I appreciate all of your help.
Hi josh I'm look at makaira 50W and avet ex 50w for shark fishing in FL. I like avet because the have lefty versions and i like my LX but makaira looks pretty sick plus warranty! Any recommendations.
how much would it cost to get 1 shipped over to australia?

This would work well. They are both nice reels. www.jandh.com/okuma-makaira-mk-50ii-two-speed-reels.html
yep this thing has so much drag ill never need a 80 .. what is the difference with the black gun metal and gold
Better free spool and lower gear ratio on the gunmetal models.

Какая плетёнка,сколько метров ?
если вы троллите, то вам нужен холлокор с моно топшотом. 100 и 100.
@@jandhtackle Троллинг,плетёнка 130 и моно 160 lbs
600 + 100 м.
I understand what you are saying but if we didn't use products based on one person's opinion then no one would ever use anything!
Email me and we can work out the details. josh@jandh.com
I assume most fishermen wouldn't even need this; if you do, you must be living in rich waters
No. If you are fishing for big tuna and shark then you absolutely need a reel like this. This type of fishing is expensive.
