    ABOUT Daydream Zephyr
    I'll guide you through every step to knit an elegant sweater with thin stripes and easy cables. This sweater is designed for effortless knitting in the round using stockinette stitch.
    This sweater is crafted seamlessly using circular needles, and it’s worked from the top down. It starts at the neckline, progressing into a yoke. We’ll add rows to the Back, working flat between the raglan lines to create a flap that shapes the neckline.
    The yoke is then divided to create both the body and sleeves, which are finished separately.
    This sweater is designed with approx. 15-19 cm/ 6-7.5 inches of positive ease.
    I am wearing size S, and is 168 cm/ 5’6’’ tall with a 89 cm/ 35” bust circumference.
    10 sizes are available (2XS-5XL). I demonstrate how to knit size S.
    🍭 MATERIALS
    1. YARN.
    I used Drops “Belle” yarn (53% Cotton, 33% Viscose, 14% Linen, 8 ply / DK / worsted, 50 g/ 120 m or 1.8 oz/131 yards).
    Nautical Zephyr: Main color #26 pearl, and contrast color #20 navy blue. Size M.
    Dune Zephyr: Main color #03 light beige, and contrast color #25 forest brown). Size S.
    You will need:
    Main color: 7-7-8-8-9-9-10-11-11-11 - 50 grams/1.8 oz skeins for your size.
    Contrast color: 2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2 - 50 grams/1.8 oz skeins for your size.
    Or:
    Yardage Main color: 800-865-950-1035-1060-1145-1205-1315-1400-1435 yards.
    Yardage Contrast color: 150-170-180-200-200-210-225-235-255-260 yards.
    22 Yarn options! Check the FREE DK yarn guide for this sweater! www.esenique.com/dk-weight-ya...
    2. CIRCULAR NEEDLES.
    - For neck, cuff, and body ribbing: 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needles in the following lengths: 40 cm (16 inches), and 80 or 100 cm (31 or 40 inches).
    - For yoke, body, and sleeves: 4 mm (US 6) circular needles in the following lengths: 40 cm (16 inches), and 80 or 100 cm (31 or 40 inches).
    You can use the Magic Loop technique and work with one needle length of 80-100 cm (31-40 inches).
    3. Cable needle.
    4. Tapestry needle: Used to slip the sleeve stitches onto scrap yarn and to weave in ends.
    5. Stitch markers: You'll need 8 markers, with one of them in a different color to mark the beginning of the round.

    I think it is so smart to do a video to help us newer knitters to fitted garments and also a good way to sell and promote your patterns. I am so insecure to buy a fitted garment pattern and know exactly what to do without a tutorial. Thank so very much!

    Your knitting is beautiful, sweater also beautiful!
    I'm working on his mellow mood now :-) if I can successfully complete it, I want to try all of your sweater tutorials. Learning tons ....thank you! What stitch markers are you using?. I would be so worried that cord holder would come off the needle while transferring but, it is pretty cool. It's also nice to use different yarns you have chosen and they don't cost a bazillion to make a sweater :-) nice job all around. Very talented and sweet to take your time to help us. Thank you ...thank you

    • @knitwithesenique
      @knitwithesenique  7 днів тому +1

      So glad you're loving the tutorials!
      The stitch markers are actually by Cocoknits (they come in a set of 60, 9mm size).
      Yes, the cord holder can be a bit slippery, and can drop off the needle tip, so I sometimes have to pick up stitches back on the needle. But I still find it more comfortable than scrap yarn.
      Drops yarn is my go-to for all my tutorials because it's a fantastic combination of quality and price, plus it's available almost everywhere!

    Thank you for such a detailed description of how to make this lovely jumper. In the pattern is there a schematic with all the measurements? I see that you have a written document for the bust size etc? But is there a full detailed schematic included? This is if one wants to make alterations to the size of arms etc.

    • @knitwithesenique
      @knitwithesenique  13 днів тому

      Great question! To keep things super beginner-friendly, I skipped a schematic. The pattern is a little tricky to adjust for size changes, but choosing the right bust size should give you a great fit.

    When did you stop increasing the sleeves or, how many more increases are done for the front and back when you stop increasing for the sleeves & can I apply the same to Mellow Mood For Him?

    • @knitwithesenique
      @knitwithesenique  Місяць тому

      Hello! The Zephyr sweater uses an 8-row repeat due to the cable pattern and is designed for plant-based DK weight yarn.
      If you're having trouble with the sleeves for the His Mellow Mood (which uses a 2-row repeat and aran weight yarn), feel free to send me a message at info@esenique.com for specific help with that pattern.

      Hello, thank you 😊 Absolutely, you can modify this pattern for a summer tee. In the video description, I've included a link to Ravelry, where you'll find projects from test knitters who made short sleeve versions. Additionally, the written pattern itself includes instructions for short sleeves.

    Hello. I have a problem with the sleeve. I knit 24 rounds just under the arm . The first brown stripe is not in front of the first stripe of the body (6 rounds under the arm.. ) is there à mistake in the explanations ? Excuse me for my bad english. Thank you so much

    • @knitwithesenique
      @knitwithesenique  День тому

      Hi there! Don't worry, it's not a mistake in the pattern. The sleeve stripes don't necessarily need to match the body stripes exactly. This is because we have different bust and shoulder widths.
      If you'd prefer the stripes to match perfectly, you can try adjusting the number of rounds knit before starting the stripe on the sleeve.
