Pat the NES Punk I did a “Shoryuken-style” uppercut punch to a bully that was messing with me in the lunch line in elementary school. felt bad afterwards, but later we made up and actually became friends. I was never like that, since I was a quiet, smart, and sweet kid, even though I had “issues”, it was probably the first and only time I ever did that to someone.
I was chubby too and got bullied every year by anybody and everyone. I suffered beatings, being thrown over 7 ft fence, embarrassments galore! I never fight, to this day I hate to fight, but I’m good at it! I too black out, and it’s scary to see the aftermath when it’s all over! In my late teens I snapped on a guy who wanted to fight me, but I would not. He followed me to my car, talking shit the whole time. When he stood between me and my drivers side I knew I had to do something! I imagined a countdown in my head and when he ended one of his rants I wound back and with almost perfect precision, punched him square in the nose! Blood squirted everywhere, as if I popped a pimple. He fell like a tree!
I got inta a scaffle once and knocked the kids tooth out... then the daycare teacher made me look for his tooth. I never found his tooth and it was already loose. He tried to say I stole his hotwheel but it was mine and he was lying.
During my school days I got into a few fights, never won any of them decisively but the last one was the year before graduating high school. It was a kid I had been friends with who started turning on me and had been pissing me off for a while. The friend group we were part of went to a local park on a Friday to do some drinking and we were playing a bit of rugby and he was using this sort of keep away move to kind of act like he was untouchable. So I remembered something a rugby coach taught in the one and only proper rugby game I participated in and used it to take him down. After that he was pissed off and I challenged him to a fight and before I could get my guard up he landed a punch to the face which got me even more angry. By that point neither of us could get any more hits in past the other's defenses and it got broken up. It saddens me to think that I couldn't get any solid hits in to at least claim a draw from that fight. Afterwards he was scared I was gonna tell on him and get him into trouble so he was acting all nicey nice for a while but he was still an asshole. After that I got myself enrolled into a local Martial arts dojo and it was the best thing I did that year. I learned proper fighting techniques and even though it was a taekwondo dojo the sensei at my branch had a very streetwise MMA style mentality about taking the best from all martial arts to be able to have the most effective techniques to defend oneself. Knowing what I know now I would not have conducted myself like I did in that fight. Ironically I have not been in a fight since learning martial arts meaning that fight which happened 20 years ago was the last fight I've been in. It has been fortunate that in my adulthood the need/opportunity to fight just didn't come my way. No body has challenged me to one and I've not sought out one. So far all the conflicts I've found myself in have not required a clenched fist to resolve. Perhaps that is a combination of sensei' teachings that a fight should be the absolute last resort and the area I live isn't particularly dangerous. I've walked home a few times after a night out and not been harassed or attacked (for which I'm grateful).

I started martial arts classes in first grade, and that saved me from any bullying for my entire school career. I had the perception (not really earned) of not being someone to mess with since I "knew karate." If things ever got heated with someone, they would always end up backing off before it came to blows.
That’s not always the case. My HS was full of testosterone kids. There’s always a bigger bully picking on the lesser bullies. I remembered being bullied during 5-7 grade by the same kid. He went after a lot of people. We reached 8th grade and his crap didn’t work anymore. He got beat up one day because of his known reputation. After that he became VERY humble towards everyone.

I'm always amazed at how well Pat (somewhat Ian too just not as vividly) can remember his pre-teenager years! I mean I can barely remember a majority of years 1-12 yet Pat remembers things in vivid detail, lol. Like even the amount of columns in his junior high cafeteria ffs!!! LMFAO!!!!!

When I was a kid I was a bully at my catholic elementary school and I one day decided to pick a fight with the new kid, unknown to me this kid had a black belt in Karate, so he kicked my sorry ass to the curb, though I gave him a good couple of hits as well. After seeing the school nurse and principal I had a personal epiphany and ended up apologizing and befriending the new kid in the process. Eventually one of my friends jumped in and got him in a lock too, and so he let go, and little shit me hit him again while my friend held him. Both got suspended. Everyone who watched rightfully thought I was a douche and got my ass kicked and then played dirty. Even one of my friends was like "dude..." Ruined rep for a few months. Years later we both ended up working at the same grocery store after ending up going to different highschools and we laughed about it and it was cool. But yeah I deserved to be fully choked out, 13 year old me could be a real asshole sometimes.
I haven't thought about razzmatazz in such a long time! Crazy you grew up around the same area I did. I spent a lot of time in Woodbridge as a kid. I also, randomly, was at the swap meet by that arena you always go to in the early 2000s. My dad was trying to buy a southwestern style blanket the whole trip and he got one there.
I can't definitively remember if I ever got into a fight, but I damn well know I was close to one in high school, and it was with a former close friend. When I first met him in junior high, he kind of obsessed with me, like he was my best friend and I just thought he was a fucking weirdo. I just kind of ignored him for a few years until high school hit, and just through a series of weird events (longer story than this will already be), we became really tight. We would hang out all the time and gossip over everything for multiple years. Everything changed one night when we went to the mall and some gang of guys walked passed us, I had no idea who it was, and he said "oh my God that's Lloyd Banks!" and I had no clue who that was at the time. After that, he just started acting like a total dipshit. He would rag on me all the time, start acting like an asshole to everyone around us, changed his clothing style, really out of nowhere. One day during gym class, he made a remark to me and at that point I had it with him. I started pushing him back and forth (this kid was one of the top wrestlers at our school so he could have done some damage to me). Our teacher got us apart and he was so surprised because he knew we were basically best friends. Later on he would try to IM me on AIM with 50 different screen names to fuck with me and our friends. He would fuck with me every time I passed by him in the hallway. I moved away after that year and he tried contacting me to apologize and I would either ignore him or tell him to go fuck himself.
Cool seeing Lloyd Banks. He turns thirty eight tomorrow. Friend of mine told me he saw Lil' Zane in a mall in Hawaii back in early 2000's. He was hot off of Money Stretch and Callin' Me. He said what's up to Lil' Zane and Lil' Zane said "I'm cool, trying to leave right now" and rush off, about ten seconds later, he saw several teenage girls rush around the corner saying "I saw him go over here" Lil' Zane was trying to avoid being noticed, lol.
I find myself relating to both you and Jeff honestly I was kind of like the class clown that was respected by everyone but had few really deep friendships.
Pretty sure you did start it. I got into a lotta fights in school, I had an extremely short temper. I remember one fight I was in 7th grade, new school, getting on the bus, only available seat was by a tenth grader who was a foot taller than me. We got off the bus and he’s walking behind me just talking shit about how I was a huge pussy and he was gonna kick my ass. So I turned around and decked him in the mouth. Never messed with me again. That’s one of the good endings, I tended to lose fights mostly.

in 92 a kid bit me hard af on the stomach in 3rd grad, teacher got to us to split it up although I it was unprovoked and it hurt like a mother! I cried but only in the principals office lol so later that day I go home and dad gives me the old "what did you do about it?" lol, so the next day im waiting on recess like it was the ff7 remake but back in 99. we get to the blacktop and start to pick teams for football and I just came at him and before I could swing I head butted him on accident, and got on him and did my best reenactment of "a Christmas carol" hammer fisting his face not realizing the kid was knocked out cold from the headbutt! he left in an ambulance and I got detention for 7 days and a pat on the back from my old man....fast forward two or three years...his parents came home at night arguing drunk and his father shot his mother in front of him and then turned the gun on himself, leaving a 17, 15, and 12 year old to deal with what was left. I see now the kid was lashing out from his home life and mine wasn't all roses either but damn. fast forward 20 some years later and they are all in jail and have left their own kids behind to be dealt with by society. Interestingly, I looked up a two bullies recently, expecting them to be in jail, and discovered that _both_ were shot dead. One in a bar and another in a weird 3 way love triangle with his half brother's wife (who was almost certainly a prostitute from how the story read). I stopped looking up bullies after that...

I have a few. I've rarely ever resorted to using violence to solve problems in life, but I had a few moments where unchecked aggression could not stand. Also around 1994/95 I had a mechanical drawing class in my sophomore year of high school. There were also seniors in the class, including one who had went to my grade school so I sort of knew him. He was a bit of a chump, not a "cool guy" by any means. I guess he thought he could impress his dorky metal head, Dungeons and Dragons friends and pick on an underclassman, I guess he saw me as low hanging fruit. He kept poking me on the shoulder while he and his buddies got a kick out of it. I told him "if you do that one more time I'm going to stab you with this compass." You know, those pointy things you use to draw circles. He did it again. So I stabbed him right in the chest with it. Hey, I warned him. He was fine, and the teacher didn't even notice. That guy never bothered me again.
Grade school.. kid made fun of my mom... Blacked out like Pat and started wailing on him. Teacher pulled me off and walked me to the principal. Called my dad and told him what happened. Dad took me to Hardee's and bought me a ice cream cone.

Today Jeff is a towel boy for a males only sauna , he spends his days getting pelted by drenched musty towels , he has a secret addiction to sniffing them when no one is looking , and then immediately feels ashamed and cry’s , and wipes his tears with it..he drives a Prius and has a fear of pizza , sometimes he watches pats UA-cam videos and writes long angry comments ..and then erases it without posting , he still dreams of being a baseball player , he got picked up by a local team ...he’s the towel boy ..
I can't remember which grade (6 or 7) it was but I was suspended for a week for hitting some boy a few times because he was teasing a girl and it got physical in the line we were standing in. I didn't say anything just ran at him with a kick in the side and dropped some blows on him before I was pulled off by lunch staff. People were a bit scared of me after that because it was so shock and awe with no words, I was quite cold about it. Saw something wrong and dealt with it quickly, that was the problem, should have thought it through first.

I was hoping this was going to be a story about pat as an adult
I never got into a fight at school when I was a kid. The closest thing to a fight I had was kids randomly beating me up for stupid reasons.
in 92 a kid bit me hard af on the stomach in 3rd grad, teacher got to us to split it up although I it was unprovoked and it hurt like a mother! I cried but only in the principals office lol so later that day I go home and dad gives me the old "what did you do about it?" lol, so the next day im waiting on recess like it was the ff7 remake but back in 99. we get to the blacktop and start to pick teams for football and I just came at him and before I could swing I head butted him on accident, and got on him and did my best reenactment of "a Christmas carol" hammer fisting his face not realizing the kid was knocked out cold from the headbutt! he left in an ambulance and I got detention for 7 days and a pat on the back from my old man....fast forward two or three years...his parents came home at night arguing drunk and his father shot his mother in front of him and then turned the gun on himself, leaving a 17, 15, and 12 year old to deal with what was left. I see now the kid was lashing out from his home life and mine wasn't all roses either but damn. fast forward 20 some years later and they are all in jail and have left their own kids behind to be dealt with by society. Interestingly, I looked up a two bullies recently, expecting them to be in jail, and discovered that _both_ were shot dead. One in a bar and another in a weird 3 way love triangle with his half brother's wife (who was almost certainly a prostitute from how the story read). I stopped looking up bullies after that...
When I picture pat fighting someone i see pat spamming haymakers while a hit counter roles and lands like a perfect 10000 hit combo someone screams finish himmm and then pat does a code by moving forward backward and then high punch lights dim then he pulls out his nwc cart and chucks it ninja star style as ians head pops on screen and says woopsieee and the cart lands a clean headshot (makes 1up sound when it hits) , Jeff falls

I have a few. I've rarely ever resorted to using violence to solve problems in life, but I had a few moments where unchecked aggression could not stand. Also around 1994/95 I had a mechanical drawing class in my sophomore year of high school. There were also seniors in the class, including one who had went to my grade school so I sort of knew him. He was a bit of a chump, not a "cool guy" by any means. I guess he thought he could impress his dorky metal head, Dungeons and Dragons friends and pick on an underclassman, I guess he saw me as low hanging fruit. He kept poking me on the shoulder while he and his buddies got a kick out of it. I told him "if you do that one more time I'm going to stab you with this compass." You know, those pointy things you use to draw circles. He did it again. So I stabbed him right in the chest with it. Hey, I warned him. He was fine, and the teacher didn't even notice. That guy never bothered me again.
Wow Pat what a story can't believe that happened to you and your friend how unfortunate but at least you gottem good standing up for your self

Grade school.. kid made fun of my mom... Blacked out like Pat and started wailing on him. Teacher pulled me off and walked me to the principal. Called my dad and told him what happened. Dad took me to Hardee's and bought me a ice cream cone.

Today Jeff is a towel boy for a males only sauna , he spends his days getting pelted by drenched musty towels , he has a secret addiction to sniffing them when no one is looking , and then immediately feels ashamed and cry’s , and wipes his tears with it..he drives a Prius and has a fear of pizza , sometimes he watches pats UA-cam videos and writes long angry comments ..and then erases it without posting , he still dreams of being a baseball player , he got picked up by a local team ...he’s the towel boy ..

Back in elementary I was the kickball king it’s like baseball but they roll a rubber ball instead those were the glory days
I can't remember which grade (6 or 7) it was but I was suspended for a week for hitting some boy a few times because he was teasing a girl and it got physical in the line we were standing in. I didn't say anything just ran at him with a kick in the side and dropped some blows on him before I was pulled off by lunch staff. People were a bit scared of me after that because it was so shock and awe with no words, I was quite cold about it. Saw something wrong and dealt with it quickly, that was the problem, should have thought it through first.
Pffft. I was suspended every year from 4th grade until I graduated.
