Do you have any experience with the Rude Nora 4 (or are aware of the thoughts for people that do)? At £189 (approx $200) for the lamp only option, it seems on paper to be by far and away one of the best value propositions among high end caving headlamps. Unless someone can dissuade me of this notion it will likely be one of my next caving purchases.
I've been using the Rude Nora 4 as my primary caving light for about two years now. An excellent light all-around. Bright, efficient, fully programmable between flood and spot settings, rugged, waterproof, lightweight, reliable... nothing bad to say really. John Biffin makes great headlamps at a very fair price. You can't go wrong.
Your assistant cameraman is getting very good.
I got one of these when it released and absolutely love it.
You look cool animated

Hi Derek! how would you compare this one to the FENIX HM65R?
I do mine exploring in cornwall england, its often very humid, do you think this would be ok in high humidity ? Thanks
Most caves are near the 100% humidity level. This headlamp is fully waterproof and performs well under these conditions.
That’s a crap light for the price you should go with Fenix , that’s what we use down the mines
Fenix makes many models. A few are suitable for caving. Most are better for other applications.
Is it waterproof for scuba?
No. Waterproof enough for wet caves, but not dive rated.
@@DerekBristol do they make ones for scuba?
@@KyloRen-su2xv Yes, certain versions of the Rude Nora are dive rated.
