It's all her best years man, people in these comments are always throwing around years in jail like they mean nothing. What, you think she gets out of jail and will just keep going on? After 15 years? Good luck finding another partner. Good luck with a career. And probably guilt for the rest of her life. In fact you could argue that her getting a second chance is the final punishment, because she always has to live knowing the victims didn't get one. Her entire life will be defined by this.
And if she doesn't feel regret or anything at all, sure, there's a low chance this may happen. But we can't base all punishment off the assumption that every murderer or rap ist is a sociopath, psychopath or narcissist.

It fell to me to get the woman out of the way. It was one of the hardest, most heart breaking things I had to do. I did my best to be kind and gentle, but I knew I has taking away something of great value. The last few minutes she would have to be with her husband.
I sat her down in my security position so she could still see the room where her husband, gave her a cup of coffee and did my best to comfort her.
Her husband didn't make it, but later she sent a letter expressing gratitude for staying with her. It was extremely touching.

I thank you for your kind act. That was very loving of you. God bless you and that woman. I would like to share my testimony with you.
I hadn't known love well, a girl had loved me and I didn't know. We played with each other every day. Classic childhood friends. I had to move with my family to another state, and after I looked back and realized that I had broken her heart. I was downcast due to this and was now going through a terrible experience at my new school (it was rated the worst school in the state at the time). I dealt with this school for a while, and then we moved to a new area. I was at a new school, and then Covid hit. During this time, I became locked into being that class clown that made perfect grades and playing games. I was bad and talking back to my mom. I said things I regret till this day. I was being destroyed inside slowly by these things and other things I won't mention here.
9th grade year started, and I saw this girl, and she immediately pulled my heart strings. I was immediately attracted to her. We were good friends for a while, and eventually, after a lot of stuff happened that I won't bore you with here, we got together. Long story short, I gave her my everything. I became obsessed. Eventually, she did something that was too bad for me to overlook, and we broke up. I was devastated. Over all these years, since Covid hit, I had dealt with not being able to break out of that shell of class clown. I couldn't fix my talking back issue, and my family issues were just...that's not something I need to put here. I went into depression, anxiety, worry, still had obsession, delusion, I was a pathological liar, and I was just all over the place and destroyed inside.
I then felt an unnatural want to read the Bible. To truly know God for the first time. Over the next few months, I was healed, completely restored, and beat my bad habits and characteristics. I was saved. I felt joy and peace and still do that is undying. It wasn't and isn't normal. Jesus saved me.
I ask, have you accepted Jesus? If not, are you willing to talk about it? I was delivered and saved, I would love you to be as well. Much love and God bless ❤✝️

I can only guess why her ex's friend Davion was in the car with them. July 31, 2022 at 5:34 to 5:39 AM was a Saturday morning, so maybe things had cooled down between Mackenzie and Dominic, she offered to give him a ride home after a late-night party and Davion needed a ride too and came with. So Dominic was the intended "hit" and Davion became "collateral damage," because I'm still not hearing any motive she had for killing Davion. She still had to be a total narcissist (pretty clear from her social media), and socio/psychopath given her actions.
Either way, once she woke up, she was clearly glad to have survived and probably happy to have taken out her (ex?) boyfriend - and like you say, could've cared less about the friend of his, as just necessary collateral damage.
