A bit of luxury for you this week Andy. Looked very comfy!
Wow! Thanks for letting us know! Wow, good choice in movies!
Damb, I've just received my allpower
Love the way you try different kinds of camping live watching your videos Andy
Apologies for commenting this, but you need to make a video about that treestump you seem to carry around for splitting logs. That thing has been with you since forever and deserves it's own name!
Oh yes !! I’ve just discovered this channel and I did notice the stump.. so I started to look at it closely to see if it’s the same stump each time! Good old stumpy
I am in Missouri in the USA and I love love your videos. I am currently.bedbound some days and like to pretend I can still camp out by watching you.
Thank you
Keep your spirits up, my prayers for you. Almost 3 years ago I was basically bedbound. That's when I found these camping videos. I have enjoyed "bed-camping" with Andy, Steve, Tony and Bruce and Bruno, Abel and Vicoria. I can almost feel the fresh air. Stay strong and if you can remember to turn side- to- side😊.
Hopefully you'll be able to leave your bed soon with a load of new camping ideas

Keep that trash away from this channel @@MikeYork-bn1mt
You’re such a likeable guy and very easy to watch.
Even my dog settles down to watch 😂 I think he must feel me relax and joins in.
I’m sure plenty of viewers say the same so thanks for helping us all to chill for a bit 👍🏽
yeah he has a soothing voice. but it's the sound of the rain and chopping wood that does it for me.🙄
@@jasonlowes223 I like the sound of chopping wood, too. Then the crackling sound of the fire - all the things I miss.
@@jasonlowes223 Yes I like that too, this was okay as a novelty but I prefer the more natural stuff and getting back to basics
It’s the funniest thing but I find myself waving good by to you at the end of your videos 😅 Hello from Sydney Australia
@@MissManifest369. better when it's dark and pouring with rain, more atmospheric. none of this sunny van life nonsense with gas stoves and fridges. I want harsh conditions.😉
Laughed out loud at the telly, but then when you brought out your baffies (slippers) that was another level. 😂😂😂
Spotted the Fifer! 😊
"Man happily sat eating a cookie in a van in the sunshine" is such a joyful vibe 🙌🏼 keep doing what you do, Andy!
I remember when I was camping as a kid and later as a soldier, even the food I didn't like tasted delicious.
Sounds like the opening to an old Top Gear episode 😂
You are a highly likeable person. Your videos are lovely and relaxing, they are a delight to watch. The amount of time and care you put into your videos and the editing of them is amazing.
Thank you 🤗
Thanks andy, from now on all future car rentals will also contain the question
„Business or pleasure?“ 😅
Love watching your gentle approach to your videos. Always makes me feel relaxed and happy. Keep doing what you do. Means a lot to many people. X
I'm lukas from Peterborough me and my wife loves your chanel sorry for my English I'm from Poland half Ukraine 😅
Thabk you lukas. Your english is bettwr than my polish haha
Haha yeah probably.. I saw 👀 that you have been doing some polish products in your videos.. That makes me really proud. Camping and cooking is my passion. So I'm really enjoying your videos, I would love you to try some of my smoke hams and jerk beef that I do. Please let me know if you interested . Trust me is worth it
@@lukasszydlowski5298, your English is very good. I'm sure your meats are good too.
This is different and a good alternative to pitching a tent every time. And really waterproof in a rain storm. You can still sit out and enjoy nature and make a campfire and cook.
This demonstrates admirably that you don't need to spend a fortune on a camper van... this is so simple yet cozy and perfectly adequate.
yea but, rented not owned changes the context of usage.
ok for 1 night but the lack of toilet, sink and ventilation would be a problem.
Ventilation and toilet easily solved if its your own van you can buy a composting toilet that is the same size as the cooler
@@norrieboyle4825 yeah you could easily live in a plain old van, but it's just not for me. as I said ok for 1 maybe 2 nights but no more than that. i know people live in cars and if you had to you would make it work.
This is only for a couple of nights.
It would be a nightmare to live in full time if this is all you have.
“It’s business time” 😂
Nice little throwback to Flight of the Conchords!
I like to rock the party. 🪨 🎉
When loading vans always put the heavy stuff (the cooler, battery power supply etc.) right up against the bulkhead, because, the first time you hit the brakes that's where they are going to end up anyhow!
One of my dad's friends had some heavy equipment towards the back of his van, he had an accident and it shot forwards and gave him a life altering injury.
I laughed out loud when you pulled out the TV. 😂 The photography background was a clever idea.
That's the definition of thinking outside of the box. I never would have thought to rent a van as a camper. Brilliant 👍
Steve Wallis is banned from renting Uhaul trucks and vans ...not that it stops him lol
Oh I love Steve! Poor guys been through so much in the last 18 months. Still always finds a smile though
Did he get banned? He has rented them a couple of times.
Dude lost his wife then his best friend but still manages to make videos
@@danielsweeney6742 He did a video in one 4-6 months ago but, crazy neighbor rented it for him lol
@@TravelTailss He sure has . I hope he's doing ok ! 🙏
Always enjoy an evening in the woods with Andy. It's nice to sit back and enjoy his company and cooking.
Started watching your vids around November. What a relief it is to see you in a t shirt for the first time! It’s been a long winter.
Enterprise should take notes. Van camping is getting popular and would be a great market to dip in to, from weekend trips to a work crew on a remote site could make use of a good 4x4 camper van
Crocodile Dundee is one of my all-time favourite movies. Such a classic!
As an Aussie I burst out laughing when I saw the title 🤣
Bought a vivaro a year ago made it into a campervan best thing I ever done will never sleep in a tent again just my opinion before everyone goes crazy 👍🏻🏴
this was awesome. i'm too autistic to pass my driving test and would probably fail terribly, but it would be nice to live in a van like this, and with your own personal van you can insulate it properly and decorate it the way you want with proper storage & electrical work
My (autistic) daughter is getting OT driving lessons to help her with some of the challenges of driving- hopefully that could be an option for you too.
@@merindahthornton5080 thanks for the advice, will check it out. I wish your daughter the best
Andy I'm actually a bit sad about this but this rental made a more cozy feel than the luxury one you had this week. This feels way more grounded and down to earth.
Next time you do this you need a tarp over the roof and sliding door, nice little canopy !
i spent 4/5 months working in Inverness last summer in a setup similar to this , i was working as a delivery driver , i got 2 days off together every week and went home to do washing etc ,camping around the loch ness area ,it was roughly a 3hr drive home , i loved it , plus the extra £40 a day was handy
Living the camping life through you Andy. Thank you
Thank you for giving us a quick view of what van camping could be like! The electronic setup is just what would be needed for a single fella in need of hot food and a movie or UA-cam video.
Camping in a van for a change is much more comfortable than camping in a muddy tent with rain pouring down.😅 You chilled with you TV and slippers. A nice carbonara, beer, and a movie. Crocodile Dundee is still a classic.
Do they still make good movies like that today?
Nice one Andy. 👏👏👍
I really enjoy your channel I love camping and getting out into nature but I am disabled now makes things harder to do now but thank you for what you do and you have a great day
im recently disabled, ,as soon as i get my license back im off out again
This is exactly what I've been looking for. Everyone else packs their vans as if they're going out for a month! I just wanted to see someone who was going out for an overnight trip and you've done it! And so simply too! Thanks for the no nonsense van camping video!
One of your best videos! Setting up a van as if it was a tent! So creative and unique! Never seen before content, I love it!
With lardons or streaky bacon you'll get a better result with the bacon in a cold pan, no oil, a low initial heat, turning up later to crisp, if required. That way what is rendered is pure bacon flavour. Goes for both your 'carbonara' and the pancake.
It's supposed to be guanciale.
came across this channel about a month back .propper addictive! .great videos x
such fun!
great show
i camp in my van sometimes
small chair big fire
thanks for taking us along
This must be vlamping....like glamping, but in a van! Lol! Love the wood effect wall and the tv to watch DVD's. Nice you can have some fun without it raining for once!😊
Your cooking is always my favorite part of the video.
Thanks for the switch up and the change of view. Nice wake-up show before I head out to work.
You are like breath of fresh air. So glad I found your channel . Thank you for taking us along for the ride Andy x
Liking the wood effect shower curtains Andy 😂😂...OK photography backings😂😂😂 I love the fact you can cook and have a beer or two . 😀
Andy you are watching Crocodile Dundee I love the line. “That’s not a knife, this is!”
That's the only line I remember..good one
makes no sense to use such a power hungry tV when u can use a tablet
Except it is "That's not a knife...*this* is a knife (after whipping out a K bar)!"
Wow all the comforts of home!!!TV!!! needs an awning.. loved the interior!!!
This has to be the most relaxed I've seen you in a video yet. Thank you for sharing! Can't wait for the next one.😊
This is actually a clever idea for those who want to go full van life. Have a bit of a test with a rental and some equipment in the back.
Telly, wood panelling, carpet, doormat! Home from home. This is very upmarket bush-craft for you, Andy! Maybe you'll never go back to a tarp in a muddy wood.....
To measure the pasta portion the utensil that you lifted the spaghetti out of the water with the hole in the middle. Put the spaghetti in the hole until you can't put anymore then that's a portion
Yes Andy, this is a good idea for those wanting to give van camping a try or just to do occasionally.
I cant wait to try camping. Im disabled so ill use a mobility scooter to get to the toilets but im so looking forward to trees!
Bonjour Andy super vidéo comme d hab cette fois si c était le grand luxe 🤣🤣🤣 merci pour votre bonne humeur permanente et continuez comme ça 👌👌🙏🙏
Your joy is contagious!
Best thing about a van is the quiet. Very rarely do we stay in a camp ground but when we do, all our tent mates are up super early because of the noise. We don’t hear anything. Oh and also the weather protection. Enjoy. ❤❤
Good for you, Kent. You are strolling up towards 1M subs!
Brilliant! You Sir... are living the(Van) life! Very Enterprising of you👏🏻
I want to give car camping a try this year, looks fun! Thanks for the chill video!
Best on UA-cam for the outdoor life....a pleasure to watch 👍
I had an old ldv pilot, ex post office van which was done out as a camper. Was awesome, made travelling so relaxing as could stop when I liked, have a cuppa or cook food or just set up for a kip xxx miss it so much. Hopefully one day I can afford to get another xxx
As always one of the highlights of the week Andy great work 😄👍
That evening meal has my mouth watering. Thank you for sharing.
My primary vehicle is a camper van. It's a 79 dodge with a queen bed, a stove, dining table, a sink, closets and drawers and even a loo. I kinda feel like a snail, everywhere I go, I'm in a little house. It even has a custom built pop top that opens up to 7 feet inside and it has a ton of windows. It's not the most efficient for a daily driver but I like the tradeoff of comfort and style everywhere I go. Thanks for sharing your experiences and insights. You seem like a great person. Stay cool
I really love watching UA-cam programs on wild camping brilliant 👏
Hi Andy I love the paneling and I had a great laugh when you brought out the TV. I also carry my fire would like that when I sleep in my van on a camp trip. It keeps it tidy amd dry.
The sheer enjoyment in your eyes when you are doing your videos inspires me so much. I will be doing the same one day. Thanks for relaxing me on a sunday night
My partner and I live in a van, this was so entertaining to watch. Love your videos.
LOL
This is next level!
Cant wait to watch Saturday morning!! Always the best!
Cheers from the Prairies of Canada! 🍻🇨🇦
Glad to see you back. I love watching your videos here in Kentucky. Love watching your cooking 🍳 videos too
Hi, I'm a 77 to woman in the Philadelphia, PA area. I used to do anp and loved it. During the pandemic, I cooked less and less, doing Way to much take out🥴. I discovered you about 2 months ago and you have inspired me to start cooking again🤗. Thank you.
Interesting how you created a homey feel to the van . Looks great .
This was a clever idea! We are going camping for 2 days in Missouri and this would be perfect for 2 people! Thanks Andy!
Great video it was nice to see you just chilling with a easier set up.
A simple yet brilliant camp out, well done.
Hi Andy. Love the video!! Sure beats rolling up a wet tent and having to dry it out later!! Thanks so much for taking us along for the ride!!
I love this, to just know that even if you don't have a van, pull up get out your gear, even if it's just a bunch of random stuff (even a TV) and go with it.
Great vids andy . Im up in scotland and going to camp all summer and autumn after watching the vids of yours . Been watching for a few weeks now and there great man . Have young boys now that will love the outdoors also.
Just a suggestion be well prepared for midges.
Full strength jungle formula works well, but it can dissolve plastic
Head Net can be useful when they really get out of hand.
And mosquito netting does not work because the holes are too big. You need to get netting.
Happy camping
we used to use a 4x4 transit van in shooting season on water logged fields to carry the beaters around they are capable vehicles with the right tyres
The wood effect looked surprisingly good!
Interesting setup. I have camped a few times in my 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. The Stow&Go seats give me an eight foot cargo space behind the front seats. I used a 24 inch wide inflatable air-matress and sleepingbag/blanket combo. My propane Buddy heater kept me comfy on cold mid-twenties nights. Had a box of camping gear - stove, pots, coffee maker, food, water, etc. - in a locking box in my motorcycle trailer. Had some good times! 😎👍
Your butane gas stove is identical to my Gas-One stove. Probably one factory in China cranking them out, just putting different names on them. 😅
Same here with my Chrysler Grand Voyager. Absolutely love it. Quick video I made of it... ua-cam.com/users/shortssRpI4aIQ8eo?si=UUfmZfjzvH_rtcJy
AIRHEADS!!! What an absolute classic 🤘🤘🤘🤘 “trick question, Lemmy is god” 😂😂 metal heads must see film!!
When I used to camp for a historical reenactment group, I would have LOVED to have all the neat gear you show. But if I needed to camp at my age now, I would definitely rent a van. I do use a CPAP ( breathing machine for sleep apnea), and could lug my larger inverter in for both the CPAP and the computer for movies. You give all of us great ideas and a good time with your videos. Love your recipes! Thank you!
Another enjoyable video 😀❤️. Thanks for sharing this with me 😌❤. Hello from Indiana USA and this 63 year old lady.
Thanks so much mate just hit a low switched your channel on saw the pic and you’ve just made me happy I burst out laughing when I saw the pic nice one Andy great channel it gives me calmed feeling watching the videos I’ve seen and never boring great balance in content
EXCELLENT VIDEO! You always do great videos....
I camp in my Subaru all the time and love it!
"That's not a van.... THIS is a VAN!"
-Crocodile Dundee
Something surreal about watching you in Australia.. As you watch someone in Australia. 😂
Crackin video fella. Impressed with that meal too.
You look so peaceful. Nice to just have a easy camp at times.
I have purchased some hot chocolate to have when I watch your videos.
Bit of luck companies might send you Vans to try out instead of Tents 👍🤪🤣😂
Love those things you roll wheels on to level your vehicle
Awesome and outstanding as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
You're so calming. Thank you.
You worried about the smell off a wood fire an you cooking garlic 😆
Great video buddy 👍🏽
Good to see a mudfree camp for a change
Wonder if enterprise is watching 😂😂😂😂
Excellent movie selection! "You take a bad boy, make him dig holes all day in the hot sun, it turns him into a good boy." Words to live by 😂
I really enjoyed that tune at the beginning. 😊
You've got me thinking this might be the rig I need for me and my perfect dog
Good to see another video lad. Greetings from Australia
Cheers :)
So many Americans on here, nice to see another aussie , greetings from Queensland. Loved this episode, I have a VW camper van .
Enterprise can't complain their getting free advertising 😂😂😂😂
I love watching your videos you never boring
