      Bird made all of his teammates better his whole career and they all will tell you that. Will LeBron's say that at the end of his career? We don't know yet.
      At the end of the game when it was on the line Bird always wanted the ball and he played every game like it was the playoffs. He said people pay to come see us and we owe them our best.

    Let's get something straight: When MJ's Bulls smoked the Pistons, Zeke was 29, Dumars was 27, Rodman was 29, Lambeer was 33. MJ won his last championship at age of 35. Then they also went on to defeat the Lakers, and here is what that team looked like: Magic 31, Worthy 29, perkins 29, Scott 29 and Divac 22 (Green 27).
    So, that is... well BS, 'cos the only team of those great 80's 4, that really was old were the Celtics with Larry being 35 and McHale 34 and Parish 38!

    • @jamesjr.dampulas6775
      @jamesjr.dampulas6775 3 роки тому +3

      MJ's chips was in the 90s, when David Stern sort of tweaked the game in order for more free flowing offense. He toned down the defense a little bit because he didn't want a brawl at center court every other game. Case in point, Vernon Maxwell and Alvin Robertson was doing the same things the bad boys were doing in the 80s, only this time, they get ejected off the court. So yeah, the 80s were the more tough and physical era. So, Jordan got a taste of what that felt like and it propelled him to dominate an entire decade afterwards.
      So yeah, you'd be lucky to play great bball in the 80s at 30, 31, 32 years old, with the amount of hits they took.

      Tired of the stupidity and the dishonesty of people when addressing Jordan. Jordan with a team would dominate the 80's the same way he dominated the 90's. Having lived through the Lakers/Celtic (and Sixers) Era and seeing the Jordan Era take the torch, I can say that, at the time, having a quality center was seen as essential to winning a championship. Kareem, Moses, Parish, Laimbeer (and note Parish and Laimbeer where on STACKED and deep teams). You needed someone solid to win titles. Then Jordan shows up and starts dominating with the three 'ills -- Bill Cartwright, Bill Wennington, and Will Purdue? Are you freaking kidding me?
    Yeah, I rooted against Jordan 6 times in the Finals. I'm slow sometimes, but I eventually learn. I'm a basketball fan number one, and MJ was an incredible basketball player. The way I framed it in my mind was that Magic, Bird, and Jordan were all peers in terms of winning mentality and dedication, but Jordan got the best all-around genetic and epigenetic download of the three. In all honesty, Isiah is almost certainly in that group, and definitely would be there is he was 6'-6". Although never really likeable outside of Piston fans, Isiah was an amazing basketball player in the land of the trees.

    Isiah Thomas is insinuating that Jordan isn't the greatest. Dude YOU had a stacked team as well. Isiah Thomas NEVER mentions ANY of his teammates in the same light as Jordan does with Scottie, Rodman, etc. You literally can't point to a SINGLE soundbite of Isiah Thomas thanking his teammates. He constantly makes it seems as if he faced Bird, Magic & Kareem, Dr. J & Moses Malone by himself. Edit: I wanted to also add the dominant Milwaukee Bucks with Sidney Moncrief & Terry Cummings.

He definitely was the leader of those teams but it was a team. Anyone who watched them or any 80/90's team knew that it was always a team effort. True 5 on 5 basketball...

    People act like MJ never had any help before Scottie...he came in the league in 1984 -85 and played with Orlando Woodridge, Wes Matthews, Caldwell Jones and Sidney Green who were all good players the next year he got Charles Oakley and the experience and wisdom of All Star and HOF and 50 Greatest George Gervin even though he was older he was still able to give 25 mins and 16pts a game but even more valuable his leadership, he then got Sedell Threat and John Paxson John Paxson that hit the big shot in the finals to seal teh chip like Steve Kerr did in the finals..in 1987 he also had HOF er Artis Gilmore, Horace Grant and Scottie Pippen so its not like Jordan didn't have good players around him....he just wasn't at a level where he was able to trust and make other players around him better yet..because he was so talented..and expected so much from himself ...It took Isiah 6 years to learn how to make other players around him better, it took Kobe about 6 years also, Magic had it from the start...in todays game as gifted as Kyre is (my favorite player) he's just learning how to make others better, CP3 has it from day 1

The Goat is a matter of opinion period. Bill Laimbeer said he would not apologize still today, so I don't hear or see him crying. Tell the truth same the Devil. Michael Jordan has not one tims openly admiitted to the part he played in Isaiah being on the Dream Team or Isaiah not shaking his hand. The reason was small minded and Jordan knows it. He such a GOAT who but he's still crying about 29 year old nonsense. He brought it up in this fake documentary he's directing that should be called Jordan's story. No punks allowed. Know the history. Be a Jordan fan but don't knock the team that Made Him. Jordan can't tell his story or give a speech without mentioning The Bad Boys so I'm going to need baby Jordan fans to learn the game.
