Joburg needs a lot of renovations. Demolish all abandoned n hijacked buildings. Replace them with new modern glass buildings. Built a Tram system passing through the city. Increase police visibility. Create special zones for street vendors and ban them from operating everywhere.

Glad to see investment into the CBD, I used to live in Braamfontein in civic towers (Stiemens+Biccard Str) while growing up till 2009 when I moved out on my own. My mother used to work at the Art section of the main Library and I used to walk into the CBD quite often as a kid. Seeing the city become more run down always made me sad, I hope more companies can invest into the area.

Johannesburg has a lot of potential if the can demolish old building and municipality take all the hijacked building, regulate tenants per apartment this city can be among the best in the world and I can see they are busy paving, putting security personnel as well as visible metro police but Metro police need to control illigally dumping especially from the street vendors.

Oh David I hope the good Lord keeps you around so you can do more videos that will BLOW all our minds as well as the minds of those people who are overseas who might be watching when other skyscrapers are too given a new lease to life in the near future Johannesburg. I believe all South Africans who are in the diaspora who left the country because they couldn't project a better future prospects and those who are just seeking better opportunities, will soon find their back home, only if we get our house in order and build build build, they will come back my friend. Let's not lose hope, South africa is a majestic country.

yes m in case you haven't heard there's a massive amounts of private security guards and a permeant deployment of 1500 JMPD officers , 24/7 , and why would such a project take place in what you seem to think is a dangerous area

I can tell this is the best accommodation compared to Cape town where you can pay R9 to 11 000 outskirts 25 to 30 kilometers from Cape town city. Innercity you can pay R17 to 24 000.

That can’t even be called a kitchen but the rest of the flat is stunning. Difference with cpt and jhb is that cpt looks pleasing to the eye while jhb just looks gastly. Jhb really needs to change the facades or demolish old buildings and built a couple of new skyscrapers cos that alone won’t attract proper investment and the necessary crowd for jhb cbd to compete with cpt and sandton. Creating pockets of safer areas in jhb still wont be enough to attract young people.

    • @mkdempisi

It is so crazy to think that jhb is younger than cape Town but cape Town looks like the youngest city in SA. Can joburg ask cape toen how they manage to renovate their buildings

The thing with cape town is that the city centre is at its central focus while the Joburg CBD is now remote to the size of the city. CT could not afford to have its CBD neglected.

@@philipbanda6637 Not even close to being true. JHB is run by idiots, that's the problem. I can't really call the current bunch a legitimate government.
The DA knows what it's doing in Cape Town, and ironically, the so-called intellectuals that hate the WC government, are the same people who later go and post on Instagram about how beautiful and clean it is.

Theirs a possible 83 buildings in jbdc that needs to be imploded * In 2022 ending prolonged debate that cost more than the method of lower the levels of high levels rise buildings * key aspect the buildings will not be completely imploded or implosion the buildings level height will be lower to only 1 story with parking or 2 to 4 story * professional professional construction workers can help make you're consideration of why can't they deconstructe five or six level height off the buildings savings the administration so moral support for domestic civilians and employment * so 83 buildings in the jbdc needs to be unleveled of height meaning redefine A 10 story height level rise building needs to be lower to Three Levels In Height Including The Parking Lot * professional professional responsibility will be the only opportunity for a normal pre covid 19 domestic civilians employment economy mainframe * exactly right more townhouses in JBCD !
