Listening to diverse perspectives is important. Checkmate move: Parents on screens because the bosses require them to work after work hours. Caucasian and China Chinese bosses in Western nations and China governments to write a law that fine owners of companies that require their employees to be on-call or on-duty even after official office hours (free overtime). Law unlikely to pass. Now the counter-move by business owners is simply to replace the workers who file complaints to the regulatory authorities with obedient workers. Now the parents are unemployed and homeless. Whether the kids are on the iPads or not is least of their concerns. Kids living on the streets or growing up in absent parents household result in rise in crimes. The problem is many people don’t have the big picture, end to end processes, and complex systems views. It’s like whack a mole. You hit one mole head down at the arcade, another problem or mole head pop up. Governance is not that simple. You can’t please everybody because life is imperfect.
