OK, I am back with my cucumbers & just finished your vlog...I have not read this in 30 years, so I do not recall much, but your comments reminded me of bits & pieces. That being said , I am not sure i would enjoy it as much now...30 y/o me was quite a different person than 60 y/o me...Are you familiar with the author Christopher Rice? His first few novels had a vibe that was very much like Secret History...and I liked them, so maybe I just have some fetish for rich kids murdering people. I agree with you about Nancy in "Oliver"... Anyway, good job on pacing yourself through this long book! take care!

I think a 🔪 emoji is quite fitting given all the killings in the book. 😂 I've heard a lot about Donna Tartt and The Secret History in particulat, but I've always been a bit hesitant to read it myself, because it's quite a chunky book and elite schools and all that stuff are also not my favourite topic. So it was really nice to follow along your reading and get to experience the book this way. Could you please add How We Named the Stars in the tbr jar? The story sounds intriguing and I also have to admit that it's nice when my note gets picked, it feels like I've won a prize (which sadly doesn't happen often). 😂
