I really love how they progressed the story. It wasn't over the top and absurd like most sequels are, it stuck to the original concept well.

15:45 in the anime they know that kira can control the persons last few moments of life (before he dies) so the fact that ur investigating a kira case and you won the lottery is unlikely (because there are not many people on this case because everyone is afraid of getting killed) so it will be making you a suspect
This dude in one breath said " power corrupts, absolute power absolutely corrupts,." then in the same breath said he would collect all the Death Notes and with a secret society to protect them smh. There's no reason his secret group wouldn't also be corrupt.

One rule of the dead note is you can’t see the name or lifespan even with the eyes if the person you are targeting has a death note of their own
You can see the name but you can’t see the lifespan… that’s how Misa knew Light was Kira because despite everything he did to not show him being Kira all she had to do was see he didn’t have a lifespan to know he owned a death note

Ryuzaki should have made someone write his name down 4 times incorrectly or correctly in the Death Note, because then it would have no effect on him. I think a prisoner on death row should have done that without knowing his true name.
Is there a rule saying that if your name is written the wrong way 4 times you are immune?

Isn’t this part of the lore though? Light pre death note and light when he had the death note looked like two different people. So this guy suddenly taking on a new appearance when he has the “proper” death note makes sense. He most likely had this entire thing planned and this changed appearance leaves it open for a part 4, if they wanted to continue.
One thing I've always wondered. With all the years Light had the death note, how is it that it's never been filled to the last page?
Edit: To those saying infinite pages, wasn't there something in one of the 'how to use' guidelines about the pages filling up? And when Mikami was told to send pages to Takada, we could see he was nearing the last pages since he tore those ones out.

Next, how would the secret society take responsibility for the fallout of their actions. For every corrupt dictator, emperor, and el presidente out there, there are at least 2 underlings or rebel leaders waiting to fill the power vacuum. Offing the head honcho would likely lead to a civil war with civilian bloodshed.
Third, this shouldn't be limited exclusively to governments. There are multinational business empires that are arguably worse by expanding their reach into new enterprises and choking out the competition. They should be on the list as well.

When a shinigami saves a human, the shinigami dies and its remaining lifespan is added to the human's if i remember correctly. Two died to save Misa, so she should live well beyond normal human lifespan even with the two trades
Really so she could of lived 100s of years if she didn't get involved
She also had TWO shinigami die for her. So she got TWO shinigami life boost. Her life span is ridiculously long.

The real way to use the note and avoid detection is to save up names and not transfer them to the note for weeks or months after you decided they need to be written down. And once they are written and have done their job, cut that name out of the page and burn it. So at all times when not in use, the note is full of blank pages only.
The thing is. The killer can kill someone and also give a reason. If they instant started to say they died from suicide. They will suspect its a rise in suicide

The name you need for the death note could be any number of things: What you believe your name to be, the first thing someone called you, it could even be some ancient Egyptian true name stuff. And any of those would make a whole lot more sense than mythological death gods caring about your legal name.

The best way to deal with the death notes is to destroy them, and let the world deal with it's own problems. So long as there is a human element involved in in any way with them, any system you think would work will never be perfect. People who don't deserve to die will die, people who need to stay in power because something worse will happen otherwise will die, and most important of all, the search for the Death Note by Kira's followers or anyone else for that matter will never come to an end unless you decide to do the real right thing from the start. Destroy them.
