It is gorgeous to watch you work on a BMW! Beautiful car, beautiful work and beautiful technician! Still one of my favorite BMWs - especially with that interior - Cognac/Black...I have the same combo in my X6.
Thank you for posting this. I was able to do this myself in my garage a couple months ago while using TIS and your other (time lapse) video as a reference. Just one thing to mention - draining coolant via a thin line going over the radiator into the expansion tank using ISTA was not enough. I ended up making a mess when disconnected the heater core hoses. I’d rather drain it from the bottom
Yes I lose about 100 milliliters of colant:) you have to move fast to lift the hoses up and make plugs from latex gloves to put on the radiator pipes, Thank you for your appreciation and stay in the area because I will post many interesting things
Hi I'd like to ask is this the only way to change the evaporator? Can be done if the engine is taken out? I'm booked in for a timing chain replacement and I thought to do two defect at once, without removing the dash. Thanks
Great video I wanted to learn how to remove the dash board and it's pretty straight forward. Last year I had to replace my blower motor and the process to do that is about 70% what you would do with the dash.

hello, thank you for the videos. they have been an extreme help to me while i have been doing this for my 2004 e60. i am actually only changing the heater core and have not rempve2d the evaporator core from the car. so far there has only been 1 small piece, a brass metal thats coiled around itself, that i dont know where it came from. i was wondering if you know. i think it came from inside the top portion of the evaporator core when trying to access the heater core.

13:38 Not "water" marks. That's what happens when you leave your Mentos etc. in the glove box. It melts and oozes through the floor of the compartment onto the panel below.

You have to check if you have vacuum leaks and the oxygen probes before the catalysts (check that they are not accidentally reversed by someone bank 1 with bank 2 and there is a small probability of having a leaking injector) Good luck !!
